Some information about why Alchemy Factory was removed from Steam

[p]Dear Alchemists,[/p][p][/p][p]We would like to share some information about why Alchemy Factory was removed from Steam.[/p][p][/p][p]On December 13th, some players noticed that some music we added in Alchemy Factory Early Access version bore significant similarities to music from Jagex's RuneScape. Upon observing this feedback, we took immediate action. At 8:14 PM Pacific Time on December 13th, we removed the infringing content, which was provided by a third artist, in Build 21179267, and issued an apology to Jagex and affected players via Reddit.[/p][p][/p][p]However, due to major update v0.4.1.3754 pushed last weekend that caused game crashes and save file losses, our 3-person development team was entirely focused on emergency fixes. This prevented us from promptly checking and replying the DMCA copyright complaint email sent by Valve on Friday evening, ultimately resulting in Alchemy Factory being removed from Steam this morning.[/p][p][/p][p]We are deeply sorry for using the wrong music. As this is our first indie game, this incident has made us aware of the importance of copyright compliance in game development. We would like to once again apologize to Jagex and all affected players. We invite your continued oversight, and we will learn from this incident, more focus on copyright compliance to provide a better gaming experience for everyone.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently, we are actively in touch with Valve to relist Alchemy Factory. Alchemy Factory Roadmap Released! 1.0 Version Launch in Fall 2026!

[p]Dear Alchemists,[/p][p][/p][p]Over the past two weeks, Alchemy Factory has achieved many milestones that we never thought possible before, we sincerely thank you all for your support in this game. However, because it's our first time developing indie game, we encountered some technical issues that led to a poor gaming experience for many players following last weekend's major update. We hereby apologize to everyone. We will optimize the update mechanism in the future, prioritizing stable gameplay experience for players and avoiding frequent crashes and save data loss issues happened again.[/p][p][/p][p]Today, we are releasing the update roadmap of Alchemy Factory, detailing some important update content and timelines we plan to release in 2026. At the same time, we will continuously optimize and improve the game's balance, QoL, performance, and add more language support.[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to the above updates, we will also collaborate with the player community, striving to meet player demands and add new content as much as technically feasible. Temporary Alternative Solution for Players Experiencing Crashes

[p]Dear Alchemists,[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your patience. We are still working on fixing the crash issues caused by the v0.4.1.3754 update, which may take some more time. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently, we have decided to provide an alternative solution, allowing players to optionally roll back to a previous version to play the game while waiting for fix update.[/p][p][/p][p]If you are interested in it, you can download this version by going to Steam - Library - Alchemy Factory - Properties... - Beta - Beta Participation - stable-3692. We recommend all players experiencing crash issues, as well as new players, to switch to the stable branch for gameplay.[/p][p][/p][p]It's important to note that this version will not include all subsequent updates, nor will it be compatible with all future save data. Only save data that was last saved before v0.4.1.3754 can be correctly loaded by the game. For your reference, we have created a sheet.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you![/p]

We identified a crash issue

[h3]2025.12.21 Update: We are trying to fix the crash issue, you can update to the latest version (build id 21273213), and try to see if it crashes or not.[/h3][p][/p][p]Dear Alchemists,[/p][p][/p][p]After the latest update, we received thousands of crash reports.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently, we are trying to locate the issue and fix it.   • [p]In Bulk Delete Mode, pressing G now also selects all connected pipes.[/p]
  • [p]For box selection, once the XY plane is confirmed after releasing mouse button, the Z axis can now only be extended upward before releasing shift.[/p]
