Noir Lords – Music & UI Update
🎵 Music & Licensing (Important for Streamers)
• [p]All previous music was used with the proper rights and licenses.[/p]
  • [p]Despite this, some streamers still encountered automated copyright claims, which was confusing and frustrating.[/p]
  • [p]To fully negate this issue, all affected tracks have been replaced with fully authentic music.[/p]
  • [p]The game now uses 100% original / fully cleared music across almost all scenes.[/p]
  • [p]Only 2 specific scenes (background ambients) are pending final replacement and will be updated very soon.[/p]
  • [p]Noir Lords is now safe to stream and record without unexpected copyright issues.[/p]
[p]Even when everything is licensed correctly, automated systems can still misfire. Thanks to the community for helping identify and resolve this ❤️[/p]
🖼️ UI & Visual Fixes
• [p]Fixed background image scaling and ratio issues[/p]
  • [p]Improved UI consistency across different resolutions[/p]
  • [p]Reduced stretching and misalignment in certain menus[/p]
  • [p]General visual polish for a cleaner, more readable interface[/p]
🛠️ Misc
• [p]Small stability and presentation improvements[/p]
  • [p]Minor under-the-hood cleanups[/p]

Major Art & Ambience Update

[p]This update brings the biggest visual and atmospheric overhaul Noir Lords has ever received. Nearly 75–80% of the game’s ambience and artwork has been refreshed to better match the gritty, stylish noir world we’ve been building.

What’s New[/p]
  • [p]New Art Style: A redesigned visual identity across cards, UI, backgrounds, and effects for a cleaner, more atmospheric noir aesthetic.[/p]
  • [p]Ambience Overhaul: Updated lighting, color grading, and environmental tone to deepen immersion and reinforce the game's detective-fantasy theme.[/p]
  • [p]Improved Readability: Clearer card visuals, better silhouettes, and enhanced contrast for faster decision-making during battles.[/p]
  • [p]Updated Character & Item Art: Many character cards, item cards, and effects have been changed for a more consistent look and variation.[/p]
  • [p]Refined Animations & VFX: Subtle visual enhancements to make the game feel more alive and dynamic. Watch out for the thunder...[/p]
  • [p]Relaxed & Chill Music: The soundtrack has been revamped with more atmospheric, laid-back tracks to create a smoother and more immersive gameplay flow.[/p]
Why This Matters
[p]This update sets the foundation for future content drops and ensures Noir Lords delivers the consistent, sharp, and atmospheric experience it’s meant to.[/p][p]Thank you for your patience and support while this massive overhaul was in the works. More updates and content are already in development.

Stay tuned Agents![/p]

Good News, Bad News, GREAT News!

[p]Hey everyone,[/p][p]Quick update from the chaos zone: my old PC decided it had “seen enough development for one lifetime” and dramatically exploded into early retirement.

So… I ended up buying an entirely new system. Silver lining? I managed to rescue all the game development data. Nothing was lost! (Shoutout to backups… and maybe a little luck.)[/p][p]Thanks a ton for your patience while I wrestled with cables, drivers, and my own sanity.[/p][p]Now the fun part: a big update is dropping this Thursday. I’m really excited about this one, and I can’t wait for you to get your hands on it.[/p][p]Thanks again for sticking with me through the PC apocalypse.
More news soon![/p]

Phase 3 Complete!

[p]We’ve come a long way and while there’s still a road ahead before full release, this phase brought a ton of progress. Here’s a look at what’s new and improved in Phase 3 (not everything, but definitely the most important parts):[/p][p][/p]
🧨 Sabotage Mode Overhaul
[p]Sabotage Mode used to be very manual you had to press buttons constantly to move through rounds. Now, match and round results are determined automatically, making gameplay smoother and faster.[/p]

🧠 Upgrade Preview Page
[p]There’s now a dedicated Upgrades Page where you can preview exactly how an Agent Card evolves at each Dread Level.[/p]

⚔️ Return Pathway System
[p]If you lose, you can now return to your previous stage and level. Be warned though! These return battles are far tougher than standard ones.[/p]

🌇 High Noon Mode
[p]After Round 12, when the enemy has 2 or fewer cards remaining, all characters receive a -25 Shield Debuff, and you’ll have the chance to enter High Noon Mode a duel between the strongest cards on each side.
Cards move from left to right, and timing is key:[/p]
  • [p]Stop them at the right distance to deal damage.[/p]
  • [p]Miss the mark, and your opponent strikes instead.
When one card falls, the duel ends. Last card standing wins![/p]

🃏 Real Deckbuilding
[p]You can now build, save, and reuse decks! This makes battle entry much quicker.
⚠️ Keep an eye on your prebuilt decks! If a card dies in battle, make sure to replace it![/p]

🎯 Smarter Enemies
[p]Enemies now analyze your most-used cards and may start targeting them directly (especially bosses).[/p]

🐛 Bug Fixes & Tweaks
• [p]Fixed major bugs with Poison and Retaliation, which sometimes caused matches to end suddenly or delay the result screen.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the issue where enemies could go down to -100 TP. (Yep, that’s finally gone 😄)[/p]

[p]Thanks for sticking with the project! Your support means a lot.
Phase 4 is on the horizon, and it’s going to be a big one. 🚀

*** I will add steps to Phase 4 according to community feedback. This is just an intial guide! [/p]
