8/12/21 FREE Content Update 2.1.5 (Environmental Graphical Improvement) #2!
Waste Walkers,
Hey everyone!
It's been 7 years... It's hard to believe it.
Anyways, I decided to do a bit of work on improving the environments in Waste Walkers to make them look a bit more gritty, look more like an apocalyptic wasteland, and to all blend together a bit more.
This update is for the base game AND the expansions. It is exclusively a FREE "thank you" overhaul for all owners and my supporters of Waste Walkers on Steam. Thank you so much for all of your help over the years. Steam has been the only real place that players have truly showed their support and made this all possible. You're all wasteland legends to me! ːWWFAKː
If you don't own the game on Steam, it's okay. You can still get this update if you ever do buy the game here. If you just got it for free elsewhere, I'm not updating local/individual copies. This is exclusive as a "thank you" for people who actually have helped me directly.
Update 2.1.5 Change Log:
Changes & Additions:
-Almost all environment assets (tilesets) have been improved (added a slight noise filter and sharpen filter overtop of them to make them look more distinguished)
-Made water a bit more grey and murky
-Foliage is now more rotten looking instead of lush and thriving
-Metro sidewalk edges are now grey to blend better (instead of the tan color it was before - it didn't look right)
-Added some more decoration to a few areas (especially in the expansions)
-The ground tiles now look more dirty and gritty
-Trees now have more dirt around their bases to make them look more planted in the ground than just sitting on top of it
-The starting house had an issue with one of the walls looking shorter than the rest on the exterior and that has been taken care of
-Side doors should be much easier to see now (They are about 50% thicker and have more defined corners)
YOU DON'T NEED TO START A NEW GAME FOR THIS TO TAKE EFFECT.
If you enjoy the game, please consider leaving a positive review so I can continue to do this. Constructive feedback is always welcome as well!
I hope you enjoy it!
