Announcing Kaiju Cleanup!
[p]Hello, cleaners! [/p][p]Somewhat-independent developer Brightrock Games and hardcore Steam enthusiasts Mythwright have announced their new job simulation videogame Kaiju Cleanup today, coming to Steam and other platforms at some point in the next fifteen years.[/p][p][/p][p]If you fancy hours of backbreaking, dangerous, and poorly-rewarded labour, this might be the interactive experience for you! Check out the excruciating details in our fully fact-checked video below.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Did you know: according to B.F. Skinner, wishlisting a video game is the fastest way to make a game developer experience euphoria?[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]When colossal alien titans run rampant until getting domed by a railgun, the world finds itself in need of a true hero. That’s you: a Kaiju Cleaner who won’t be perturbed by petty concerns like “workplace injury” or “life expectancy”.[/p][p][/p]

[p]
[/p][p]After another bastard Kaiju attacks another crowded city, you must use your tools to clean up vast piles of dead monster until the zone is safe for reconstruction. The Kaiju may be dead, but its corpse is leaking radiation, seeping acidic fluids, concealing explosive organs, and generally making the area inhospitable to any other form of life. You’ll probably die as you go about your work, but that’s fine; send another clone, mop up your corpse, and carry on.[/p][p][/p]

[p]
[/p][p]Enjoy therapeutic tasks with your own methodology and a selection of helpful tools. Work at your own pace; that giant corpse isn’t going anywhere. Extract and launch Kaiju innards with a meat-wrenching claw, slice them into manageable chunks, slurp up its various jellies, and power-wash detritus until the hazard zone is sparkling clean.[/p][p][/p]

[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Turn KaijuCorp from a scrappy band of outcasts and delinquents into Earth’s best Kaiju Cleanup firm. Complete missions to upgrade your equipment and customize your base, van, and outfit.[/p][p][/p]

[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Explore environments the Kaiju have rudely died in and figure out what they have against skyscrapers anyway. Pick apart audio logs, chat with your crew, leaf through an evolving codex of Kaiju research, and enjoy rigorous fact-checking with InfoBlast, a legally-recognised news programme.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]For those of you seeking an uncomfortably close connection with our development team, the Brightrock Games Discord is the place to be! We look forward to debating the scientific accuracy of Kaiju Cleanup with you, and cannot wait to hear which Kaiju you find most physically alluring.[/p][p][/p][p]Join the Discord[/p][p][/p][p]If you find yourself yearning for more truth and sanity in this increasingly-backwards world, the first full episode of Info Blast is available below. You can, like most things, play it muted.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]For future episodes of Info Blast (and potentially news about this videogame), be sure to follow us on Steam, or one of several social media channels we’re obliged to maintain:[/p][p][/p][p]If you are interested in playtesting early versions of Kaiju Cleanup, you can sign up on the store page. Please note that you will not be compensated for your time and / or injuries.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p]
A Message From Brightrock Games
[p]Hey folks, [/p][p]Thanks for checking out the announcement of Kaiju Cleanup! We and our partners at Mythwright are super excited to hear what you think, and are looking forward to sharing more over the coming months.[/p][p][/p][p]For those of you who’ve been with us for a while, we know this is a departure from our usual faire and might come as a bit of a surprise! After Galacticare — which was a big project for us — we wanted to try our hands at something smaller, lighter, and… messier. Looking further into the future, we’ve also got some other projects in the works, including a return to our roots deep underground.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks again for taking the time to read through the announcement. If you’re interested in what we’ve shown so far, wishlisting the game is one of the best ways to help us out, and we’d really appreciate it.[/p][p] [/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]Until next time,[/p][p]- Brightrock Games[/p]
