Hello all you beautiful and wonderful people! [/p][p][/p][p]It's been a bit since our last update and we wanna keep you all in the loop on our progress. We're happy to say that
Bliss Valley: After Dark is in the final stages of development! This game is wildly more complex than the original Bliss Valley. There are a lot more moving parts and gameplay elements compared to the original. If you've taken a look at the store page (which you totally should by the way), you can see that we RPG-ified Bliss Valley. The original Bliss Valley was a pretty straight forward visual novel with a few bells and whistles thrown in to keep it fresh. This time around I don't think it would be fair to call it your average visual novel. You have a whole town to explore instead of being railroaded through the story like the original. We still have everything that made Bliss Valley enjoyable in the first place while expanding on the formula. [/p][p][/p][p]
Replayability is something I find important in video games, so with this new Bliss Valley we wanted that to be core to the experience. -Mox [/p][p][/p][p]
"That's cool and all, but when is it coming out?"[/p][p][/p][p]Unfortunately we don't have a set release date yet, however we should be announcing that within the coming weeks. As stated earlier, we're in the final stages of development. The game as it stands right now is basically fully playable barring bugs and some last minute additions we have yet to implement. We're itching to release this game just as much as some of you are itching to play it. We're extremely proud of how it's turning out and we think it blows the original Bliss Valley well out of the water. [/p][p][/p][p]
First off, thanks for all your support! It means the world to me. I'm excited to show you what we have for Bliss Valley: After Dark. Bliss Valley was my first foray into furry adult content (and one of my first forays into furry content in general), and I've spent some time researching and polishing my style for it. I decided to lean more into my natural art style, based on traditional inking- something I originally avoided out of worry that it wouldn't be considered appealing for the genre. However, after all the positive feedback I received, I'm a lot more confident to lean into my influences! Something I noticed a lot of feedback on was the NSFW scenes. At the time, the only software I had to animate with was intended solely for traditional animation and was incredibly time consuming to work in. I did some digging and found a software within my budget that's suitable for tween animation (which enabled me to make some of those scenes in the Arcade section) and I'll be using that for the animations this time around- that should allow the scenes to be much more polished and on-model. Thanks again! -Ephemeral[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
-FAQ-[/p][p][/p][p]
"Is this game NSFW/Adult content?" [/p][p]A: Yes, and the tone of the game is generally raunchier/more adult as well, which is reflected in both the character designs and writing. [/p][p][/p][p]
"Is my kink featured in the game?"[/p][p] A: If your kink is cute furries and RPG stat mechanics then yes! ...Otherwise, no, it's all vanilla. We understand that someone's turn-on might be someone else's turn-off, and don't want to surprise anyone with content they weren't expecting. Any kink-related adult content will be left for potential DLC. [/p][p][/p][p]
"Will this game get content updates like the original Bliss Valley?" [/p][p]A: Most likely yes.
After Dark was designed with modularity in mind, so we could potentially expand the game with updates or DLC content.[/p][p][/p][p]
"When will it be released? How much will it cost?" [/p][p]A: While we haven't settled on the price yet, it will not cost more than $13. However, it will be more expensive than the original Bliss Valley, as there is significantly more content. While we don't want to announce a release date prematurely, we are in the final stages of development![/p][p][/p][p]
"Is this game a direct sequel to Bliss Valley? Do I need to play the original to understand it?" [/p][p]A: While it is a spiritual successor, it is not a direct sequel. There's a few references and returning plot elements here and there, but you can understand it without needing to play through the original. ... That being said, you totally should. [/p][p][/p][p]
"Do you use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in any part of Bliss Valley: After Dark?"[/p][p] A: Nope! None of our games will ever feature any GenAI content. The entirety of the art, music, writing, code, etc. were made by real people.[/p][p][/p][p]
"Is there any other way I can support Amusement Studios? Do you have a Patreon/merch store/etc.?" A: Not currently, but possibly in the future! [/p][p][/p][p]Love us? Hate us? Follow us on Bluesky!
