Update 1.10.7 - fixes for recent crashing

Hey everyone!

The most recent update introduced a few issues which should hopefully be resolved now.
Unfortunately I had to temporarily remove some effects of a few berserker skills to stop the crashing, but they will be back as soon as I can make it work again. A new engine update sometimes introduces new issues that can be hard to pin down, so if you get any weird behavior or crashes, please let me know, and I will get right on it!

1.10.7:
Fixes:
  • Fixed crash on triggering the Act 5 gate cutscene.
  • Fixed Overload not breaking objects.
  • Fixed Arc Punch, Overload, Lightning Fist, and Shattering Punch causing a crash.
  • Note: They no longer fire off projectiles/lightning - this will be added back.

Update 1.10.6 is live - fixes, tweaks, and performance

Hey everyone!

Update 1.10.6 is now live with fixes for recent issues, as well as some general tweaks and performance increases.

Notably, the game is now also 64-bit!
If you are running an older 32-bit system, you can find a 32-bit version in the BETA branches on steam, but please be aware that 32-bit will not be supported indefinitely.

Linux users: 1.10.6 will be rolled out to Linux systems sometime later, as we are having some problems compiling in the latest engine version. I hope this will not delay us too much.


A time-limited Christmas event will go live on December 15th, so keep an eye out for that!
During this event you'll find extra loot - as neatly wrapped gifts! You'll also be able to visit a special location, and you'll find that the denizens of the word of Chronicon has decorated for the season. More info coming on the 15th!

Note:
  • The game is now 64-bit! There is a 32-bit version available in the BETA branches on Steam if your system does not support it.
Changes:
  • Improved performance.
  • Improved in-game text presentation.
  • Improved color coding of endgame rewards listing.
  • Changing equipment now triggers a full companion and buff clear, to prevent some snapshotting abuse.
  • Added visual effect to Meteora (Warlock TL).
  • Vestige of Lost Souls now only applies the barrier and drains the mana if the new barrier would be stronger than the current one.
  • When triggering Expulsion via the synergy node, the Expulsion effect is now fire-colored.
Fixes:
  • Fixed loading screens repeatedly saying "Preparing..."
  • Fixed several issues with Japanese fonts, text, and automatic card resizing.
  • Fixed some minor placement issues with Chinese text.
  • Fixed some more grammar problems in skill descriptions.
  • Fixed Caine's set incorrectly referencing Blaze duration instead of Flare duration for the 3p bonus.
  • Fixed some sound loop problems.
  • Fixed Rime dealing too low damage.
  • Fixed Jagged Rocks proccing even with 0 investment into the skill.
  • Fixed minimap player position offset when having the clock enabled.
  • Fixed crash related to Tornado sounds.
  • Fixed crash when resetting a zone after changing difficulty.
  • Fixed Boots of Hazard crash.

Update 1.10.4 is live - fixes and tweaks

Thanks for your continued reports and suggestions!

Here's an update that takes care of some recent issues.

1.10.4:
Mechanics & Progression:
  • Changed how mastery experience is calculated past really high levels (3500+).
  • Resetting skills/masteries, importing builds, and hot-swapping any skill or mastery now clears all effects to prevent snapshotting abuse.
  • Slightly changed how Wings of Sziirk works to try and prevent getting stuck in walls.
  • The stat "Increased Healing From All Sources" no longer has diminishing returns.
  • Added some extra checks to determine whether or not to trigger When Moving and When Still type effects, such as the Warden's Careful Aim.
Monsters:
  • Lowered damage of Razor Wind when cast by enemies like Gazer.
  • Quaker, Slamcross, Trapper, and Frostblitz enemy affixes are now considered ground effects.
  • Arrow Hail, when used by enemies, now have a longer delay, duration, and drop the arrows much slower.
Misc:
  • Adjusted some overlapping buttons in the interface when using gamepad.
  • Added some tweaks to the load/verification system to be less strict and be able to recreate some missing data when necessary.
Locale:
  • Updated Chinese locale.
  • Possible fix for poor formatting of Japanese text.
Linux:
  • Possible fix for weird mouse snapping / getting stuck on multiple monitor setups. Side effect: mouse will not be confined to window at all.
  • Possible fix for "continue as ..." button not working properly.
Fixes:
  • Fixed Cosmic Cape resetting mana weirdly.
  • Fixed incorrect values (visual only) on the Furious Retaliation set bonuses.
  • Fixed runes made of Heart of The Community not fitting any items.
  • Fixed renamed characters not appearing on Load Hero menu until after a game restart.
  • Fixed Continue button not working after renaming the last played character.
  • Fixed Banished Evil templar mastery perk not working correctly with Crown of Innate Probability.
  • Fixed Soul Avatars not correctly interacting with Mightcap.
  • Fixed Carriers (Perk) not working when manually killing Plague Bearers.
  • Fixed issue where Holy Fire was snapshotting incorrectly, and when in combination with Blazing Hammers, not triggering Mana/Health on Hit correctly.
  • Fixed Prayer Beads and Judges Gavel not working with Holy Fire and Lesser Rune of Blazing Hammers.
  • Fixed Blood Curse and Flesh Rot, when cast by enemies, bypassing poison immunity.
  • Fixed Wisps not targeting the players target with the Wispmother set.
  • Fixed automatic backups being made for builds/keybinds/filters even though they don't actually use the backup system.
  • Fixed Crafting Materials showing a level requirement.
  • Fixed Act 3 tombs not being considered boss rooms, letting you get locked out if you die.
  • Fixed Frostblitz enemy affix not dealing damage.
  • Fixed crash related to loading characters.
  • Fixed GUI clock using single digits to display single minutes/hours.
  • Fixed Wolfcaster Rune not working with the Frostburn passive.
  • Fixed Chantie using Chantelle's voice line when re-locking an unlocked enchant that was at maximum Greater Augment cap.
  • Fixed issue with endlessly "loading" characters on Load Hero screen.

Update 1.10.2 is live!

Hey everyone!

We've had some issues with Anti-Virus flagging the game as kinda sus, so this update will hopefully fix that! From testing, it was most likely related to clearing out some old data, which was caught as a suspicious action.

Also, if you had issues with your characters not showing up on the Load Hero menu, this update should also fix this - if this issue persists, please send a screenshot of the load menu along with your save files to [email protected] and I will investigate further. Note: your save data is not lost, the game is just not recognizing it for some players, so do not worry!

Anyway, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused, and I think you for being understanding and helping me test and verify the issues!

Fixes:
  • Rolled back engine version to hopefully clear false positive AV alerts.
  • Fixed issue where some saves were ignored and not loaded with the new save/load system.
  • Fixed newly created characters not appearing in the Load Hero menu until after a game restart.
  • Fixed inventory not visually updating after gambling with a controller.
  • Fixed not being able to close the popup on Graveyard graves with a controller.



1.10.1:
Fixes:
  • Fixed crash when Shady Dealer spawned.
  • Fixed Heart of the Community not being added to Codex.
  • Fixed class bio on creating a new character always showing the Templar's bio.
  • Fixed characters that had been saved incorrectly before not being able to be fixed/loaded.
  • Fixed issue where repeated entrance into the Pumpkin Field would not correctly spawn enemies.
  • Fixed issue where sometimes re-entering an area would clear it of monsters and move portals.
  • Fixed an infinite loop in the Hidden Cellar event in Act 3.
  • Fixed rare issue where creating a new character could reset your essences.
