DLC “World Championship” announced: Become the coach of a national team!

[p][/p][p]A few years ago, we began work on Football, Tactics & Glory: World. During that time we implemented many new mechanics, but the game has still not been released. The reasons were the war and the technical challenges of moving to a new animation system with realistic 3D graphics.[/p][p]At the same time, we see that players are waiting for new and exciting content. So instead of postponing FTGW for another year or two, we decided to do things differently:[/p]

• [p]Release the third DLC, “World Championship”, which will include part of the content originally planned for FTGW;[/p]
• [p]Rename FTGW to FTG 2 and plan more substantial changes to match mechanics and management in that game.[/p]

[p][/p][h3]How big is this expansion?[/h3][p]It is as large as the first two DLCs - Football Stars and Manager’s Journey. The price will be similar.[/p][p]As before, you need to own the previous DLCs to be able to play World Championship.[/p][p][/p][h3]What mechanics are added in the DLC?[/h3][p]The name of the expansion, “World Championship”, highlights the core mechanics of the game:[/p]

• [p]footballers now have nationalities;[/p]
• [p]just like in real life, every 4 years the World Championship takes place, with qualifying stages across different continents and a single final stage;[/p]
• [p]continental championships are also held every 4 years, where national teams compete to become the best team on their continent;[/p]
• [p]once you gain enough Reputation, you will start receiving invitations - first from less prestigious national teams, and later from increasingly well-known ones;[/p]
• [p]as a national team coach, you will be able to choose from the best footballers of a particular nationality.[/p]

[p][/p][p]In addition to this set of mechanics, many other interesting features and improvements will be added to the game. Here are just some of them:[/p]

• [p]⚽ Loan system: send your players to lower leagues to gain experience, or strengthen your squad with young talents from other clubs. Effective development of loaned players will bring you additional Glory.[/p]
• [p]🔎 Automatic transfer search: forget about manually checking every club. A new convenient search screen allows you to instantly find footballers by specific attributes and criteria.[/p]
• [p]🏆 Third continental tournament: the game now features a third tier of continental tournaments (similar to the Conference League) with a classic group stage and play-offs.[/p]
• [p]👀 Spectator mode: you can schedule watching any match - from the World Championship final to games in neighbouring leagues.[/p]
• [p]🧠 Updated club management AI: computer opponents have become significantly smarter. They handle transfers more effectively and develop over decades, ensuring strong competition even after 40 seasons of play.[/p]
• [p]⚙️ Expanded difficulty settings create new challenges for experienced players:[/p]
  • [p]🕵️ Hidden formations: you can see the opponent’s squad, but not their positioning on the pitch.[/p]
  • [p]⭐ Giftedness strength adjustment: the ability to manually adjust the impact of Giftedness stars on skill potential in matches.[/p]
  • [p]🎲 “Reduced+” randomness type: makes footballers’ Giftedness the decisive factor in matchups, minimising the role of luck.[/p]
• [p]🌍 Foreign player limit: add realism and strategic depth by setting a required number of local players in the squad for league matches.[/p]
• [p]🎮 Hot-seat 2026 World Championship mode: experience the celebration of the final stage of a fictional 2026 World Championship with 48 national teams. Play alone or with friends on the same computer. Create or download mods with real national teams if you want to capture the spirit of the real tournament.[/p]

[p][/p][h3]When will the expansion be released?[/h3][p]We are currently planning to release the DLC on 21 May. All mechanics are ready, but we are polishing and improving them. The release date has been moved to next year, but most likely we will need at least two years to release it in Early Access. This depends on how much the war complicates our work (the previous winter was the hardest in our lives) and whether we manage to implement the rather ambitious ideas we have planned. Because in addition to new graphics and an animation system, we would like to add several interesting sets of mechanics to both the match and the management aspects of the game.[/p]
