Rust Rides — Demo Mod Editor (Editor only, coming soon)

[p]Straight and honest: we’re preparing a demonstration release — DEMO, which will include only the editor. The goal is simple — to show that the game is real and moving forward, to connect with the community, and to give you creative tools right now.[/p][h2]What the demo will include[/h2]
  • [p]A basic content editor for creating objects and scenes.[/p]
  • [p]Tools to publish created content to the local Steam Workshop (workshop only).[/p]
  • [p]Initial categories for mods (details later).[/p]
[h2]Important warnings — read carefully[/h2]
  • [p]The editor is still in active development. Features will be very limited and may contain bugs or unfinished functionality.[/p]
  • [p]There is currently no documentation. We won’t provide instructions on how to properly make mods yet — that will come later.[/p]
  • [p]We do not recommend making full mods if the game is releasing in the coming days. Wait for the next official announcement with documentation and guidelines.[/p]
  • [p]Compatibility is NOT guaranteed. Mods made now may be incompatible with the final game or PlayTest version. (Expect an announcement on readiness.) (The “Doors” category should work stably.)[/p]
  • [p]The tool that automatically configures your mods — variables, parameters, file paths — is still under development and may change daily. This means the mod structure and automatic settings can change at any time.[/p]
  • [p]The only category that will likely remain compatible with the final game is “Doors.” Use it as a demo example to understand the logic of future updates.[/p]
[h2]Why we’re doing this[/h2][p]Our main goal is to support creativity in the community: developers, modders, and players. We want to give you the chance to start creating and testing ideas with us — even if the tools are still simple.
