After Fallout 4's next-gen update forced its creators to abandon their planned release date of April 23, Fallout: London has been left in what's felt like a bit of a purgatory. Behind the scenes, however, the modders have been working very hard to get it ready to release in a form that'll work with these latest changes to Fallout 4. Thankfully, it sounds like Bethesda's latest tweaks won't cause too much of a hold-up.

If you're out of the loop, Fallout: London's a full conversion mod for Fallout 4 that's set to let us explore a post-apocalytic version of the English capital, complete with fresh factions and quests. We've been getting regular updates from the team behind it over the past couple of years, and now things are slotting in place to finally let us take to the streets of London, whenever those streets are deemed 100% ready.

Speaking to TheGamer on the same day the second part to Fallout 4's next-gen update dropped, Fallout: London project lead, Dean 'Prilladog' Carter seemed to outline that he didn't think it'd pose too much of a hurdle for the mod - at least in comparision to the much heftier first part of the update.

The next-gen update to Fallout 4, and its less heralded sequel , have proven a bit annoying for a lot of PC players who aren't too bothered about the new additions they bring. Why? Well, because they've messed with a lot of important mods, as game updates tend to do. But it's ok, folks who've chosen to stop their copy updating, here's a mod that'll stop you feeling like you're missing out on one of the update's actually good things - the Piggy Bank Fat Man.

Yup, forget about those poor folks who're wondering when a fix might drop for their VATS issues. The real people who're hard done by here are those of us who'd had to forego some fun weapons because we don't want to patiently wait for things to be updated.

Enter 'Blahaj Tactical Support', a mod from Herby247 that gives you a Fat Man which fires explosive versions of the cuddly IKEA (other furniture shops are available) shark named Blahaj - which has become an iconic image of LGBTQ+ positivity in recent years. This isn't the first time the shark has popped up in Fallout 4 either, with Herby247 having also recently made an "Emotional Support" backpack version and fellow modder Elianora having included it as a workshop item in a trans solidarity-themed pride themed mod last year.

Ok, so, you remember that bit in the Fallout TV Show when Norm finally discovers the truth behind the experiment that's been going on in his and Lucy's home vault? More specifially, do you remember a certain little funny robot that's by his side when he learns exactly what's being going down. Well, a modder's now working on bringing that Roomba Robobrain to Fallout 4, but sadly not as the world's most adorable Dogmeat subsitute.

Yup, stop crying because Fallout 4's next-gen updates have - probably - messed up your load order, it's time to think about downloading something kinda bizarre that you'll inevitably forget about, then encounter midway through a modded playthrough and think 'oh, when did I install that?'. Hey, at least this time it's not pictures of Walton Goggins' face that'll make you feel things downstairs.

The weird second part of Fallout 4's next-gen update, which we first learned about last week, arrived yesterday, bringing with it a host of fixes mainly aimed at getting the game to run and look a bit better. It's also fixed one of the funniest issues folks had reported experiencing with the first update, though other problems look to persist.

If you're just catching up on things, a lot of the big complants folks had about Fallout 4's next-gen update have involved problems that've since been resolved or the effect it's had on mods. Though, there were some other pesky issues highlighted around its release, a couple of which look to still be a thing.

First, the good news. Players are reporting that the fun new makeshift weapons featured in the quest 'When Pigs Fly' are no longer being replaced by the big red signs that usually signify a texture issue of some kind - something some folks had reported experiencing when delving into the next-gen update for the first time. This includes the new Piggy Bank Fat Man and Piggy Bank mines - which are very fun, if a bit OP to become regular fixtures in everyone's arsenal.
