Fallout 4 getting a new-gen upgrade in 2023, bringing best-boy Dogmeat to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S


As part of celebrating Fallout's 25th anniversary, Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 will be receiving a new-gen upgrade next year.


Fallout celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this month, so Bethesda has been celebrating in a number of small ways. Those celebrations will slightly extend into 2023 apparently, as in a post rounding everything off with a mixture of interviews and more announced that Fallout 4 will be receiving a free update that will bring the game to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.


The update will include "performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution gameplay, bug fixes and even bonus Creation Club content," and will also be coming to PC whenever it does launch next year. A specific window wasn't provided on when we can expect that update to arrive, so, sometime in 2023 it is.

One of the most exciting Fallout 4 mods in the semi-near future is Fallout: London, which is due out in 2023 and will take us across the Atlantic to see how jolly old England coped with a bunch of nukes being dropped on it. Starfield has more talking than Skyrim and Fallout 4 combined


It’s been months since we’ve heard much from Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG Starfield, but studio director Todd Howard has been answering some questions about the game in a new video series. You can watch Howard chatting about the make-believe space programme below, where he covers if Starfield is hard sci-fi (not really), the games traits system, and dialogue. It seems that Starfield RPG's are incredibly chatty, with many times more dialogue than Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

Fallout 4 mod trailer takes series to Miami while we wait on Bethesda
