Fallout: London hasn't developed into a Fallout 4-esque hub of new quest and expansion mods so far, and its lead has theories why

Who mods the mods? A bunch of people, or so was the hope of Fallout: London developers Team FOLON when they released their total conversion of Fallout 4 back in 2024. So far, there've been plenty of tweaks and smaller scale additions to the mod's version of the post-apocalyptic English capital, but no new quests or world expansions of note.

Things playing out that way to this point - despite Team FOLON having been very open in encouraging other modders to have a go at making such creations - is something Fallout: London project lead Dean 'Prilladog' Carter's clearly aware of, and he's offered a few theories as to why it might be the case.

Ex Bethesda dev would like to see Fallout 5 in New Orleans, and fewer airships in the Amazon show

There's something electric about New Orleans. I first fell in love with the city when I was watching The Vampire Diaries' spinoff show The Originals (I can hear the judgement from here). In many ways, it feels like its own world, oozing style to the sound of smooth jazz; a place where anything is possible. That said, a number of said wastelands being heavily discounted as part of the platform's recently concluded winter sale likely hasn't hindered those efforts.

I thought I was crazy for thinking Fallout 4 feels like a perfectly crisp fall day, but that's exactly what Bethesda was aiming for after a 'field trip' to a national park: 'I was like, this is what our world needs to look like'

Fallout 4 is a much more cheerful game than its immediate numbered predecessor. In contrast with the grime, slick gore, and green tint of the Capital Wasteland, the Commonwealth is bright and vibrant—it's the sort of place where you wouldn't mind putting down roots and founding a settlement or ten...

Fallout: London's next DLC, Last Orders, will be served up early this year if current pint-pulling plans hold

It's a new year, and Fallout: London developers Team FOLON have kicked it off by revealing that the massive Fallout 4 mod's second DLC is currently planned to rock up in the irradiated tube station of our lives pretty soon. This add-on's dubbed Last Orders and looks to have at least something to do with a trip to the pub.

To be fair, that makes perfect sense. Fallout: London's first DLC was dubbed Rabbit and Pork, so following up last year's meal of new quests with a drink is only human.
