Worried about Fallout 4's next-gen update messing with your mods? Nexus Mods is taking steps to help you out

It's now less than a week until Fallout 4's long-awaited next-gen update drops on April 25, bringing with it a bunch of tweaks for different platforms and some fresh goodies you can grab for free. If you're on PC the only issue with that is that updates - especially big ones - tend to play havoc with mods when they first drop, but modding platform Nexus Mods is taking some steps to try and make that transition a bit less of a headache.

It's good news, because you probably aren't alone if you've felt unable to stop yourself kicking off a frssh modded playthrough of Fallout 4 after watching Amazon's Fallout TV show, which is now confirmed to be getting a second season. Wahey, Amazon's Fallout TV show season two is now officially confirmed, just in case there was any doubt

A tweet from the show's official account first revealed this good news, slap bang in the middle on the night UK time. "Wouldn't want to keep you on the edge of your seat, now, would we?", the slightly sarky post read, "See you back in the Wasteland for SEASON 2."

Fallout 4 DLSS mod boosts performance and quality where Bethesda won't

As Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) arrived many years after Fallout 4, the game understandably lacks the feature, or any resolution upscaling methods for that matter. However, with no sign of DLSS support on the horizon, despite recent news of a PC patch, modders have taken matters into their own hands and the results get a firm thumbs up.
