Fallout 4 next gen update shared by former Bethesda exec

The Fallout 4 next-gen update was originally announced all the way back in October of last year. At the time, Bethesda said the revamped and refreshed version of its RPG would arrive in 2023 - the Skyrim and Oblivion developer was naturally busy with another little game called Starfield, but seemingly still had room to deliver Fallout 4 next-gen. Now, as the end of 2023 draws near, news on the Fallout 4 next-gen update is absent or sporadic. With Starfield in the bag, and everyone hungry for a bit more wasteland after Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 76, one former Bethesda executive shares insight into the Fallout 4 next-gen update and its whereabouts.

Fallout: London modders celebrate Fallout 4's birthday with a fresh look at the mod's unique factions

The team behind the massive Fallout: London modding project has released a new video offering a look at all of the different factions that populate their mod’s nuke-devastated depiction of the UK capital.

Released as a belated way to celebrate the eighth anniversary of Fallout 4’s release, the clip offers a look at each of the groups you’ll be interacting with once you delve into the mod following its release. Given that Fallout 4 serves as the mod’s basis, this certainly seems a fitting way to commemorate taking your first steps into The Commonwealth.

Kicking off with some gorgeous long-range shots of the vistas on offer in 2237 London, the video quickly gets down to brass (or maybe steel) tacks by offering a look at Camelot - the mod’s King Arthur-inspired crew of armoured justice advocates. Interestingly, it seems as though these feudal fighters are in conflict with The Gentry - the posh toffs who rule London from Westminster - over how the city’s democracy should work.

One of Fallout 4’s most popular quest mods, which gives you the chance to side with The Enclave during the events of the game’s main story, has just received a massive 2023 remaster.

If you’re not a newcomer to the world of Fallout 4 mods, odds are modder Otellino’s ‘America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave’ has probably graced up in your load order at some point. Released back in 2017, the mod brought one of Fallout’s most interesting factions - the descendants of America’s pre-war leadership known as The Enclave - to The Commonwealth via a series of new quests and locations.

Well, now Otellino has given their project a fresh coat of paint, releasing ‘America Rising 2 - Legacy of the Enclave’, which serves as a remake of the original mod complete with a bunch of new features and improvements that set it apart from its predecessor. Much like the original, the pitch for America Rising 2 centres around the idea that Fallout 4’s protagonist - having lived in the pre-war world - might be interested in helping out a group with the stated goal of restoring the US to the glory it enjoyed prior to The Great War.

One of the biggest and most downloaded Fallout 4 mods has just had a remake released, and it integrates the Enclave into the Bethesda RPG's main questline. With loads of new fully voice-acted quests, NPCs, items, equipment, and ways to naturally fit the iconic faction into the Commonwealth, this remake follows an F4 mod with hundreds of thousands of downloads.
