New Character: Ice Queen

A NEW CHARACTER!

ICE QUEEN

Her special ability is "Ice Spikes" -- jagged ice spikes that rise from the ground and impale enemies, as well as damaging nearby ones. Use the mouse to aim the attack (aoe damage that increases each time its upgraded).

There's 3 new upgrades specifically designed for her character. They all amplify the power of Ice Spikes. The upgrades are:

- Ice Spikes Damage (more damage)
- Ice Spikes Cooldown (decrease cooldown of Ice Spikes, for more Ice Spikes more often)
- Ice Spikes Duration (increase the time that Ice Spikes last)

QOL Update (v0.2.38)

A quick QOL update:

- Art adjustments for Boss HP bar.
- The cursor sprite now has a thicker outline (now easier to see).
- Buffed Fire Missile damage + cooldown

QOL update (Early Access build v0.2.37)

A quick QOL update!

- established all of the map location names that will be included in the game!
- content still needs to be added to those map locations.
- 3 map locations have been heavily developed (The Twisted Forest, The Crimson Dungeon, The Festering Sewers). Still more development for those maps though!
- added "Energy Shield" concept, but haven't added it to gameplay yet.
- added weapon classes concept, but haven't added it to gameplay yet.
- these weapons classes are currently staffs and swords (for the Cosmic Wizard and the Warrior Swordsman). It's possible that more than one character will share these weapons.

A 3rd map location, New Enemies, Better Fire Missile changes

[p]The 3rd map called The Festering Sewers has been designed. It's still a work in progress, but its turning out well!

Fire Missile

Fire Missile got a scale and damage buff, and the trade-off is a longer cooldown. This made using Fire Missile a lot more fun (still manual directional aim yet is now auto-cast).

The meta unlocks for the 3rd level still need to be coded so that will be within the next day or two.[/p][p][/p][p]Now that there's 3 maps in the game, I'm going to switch gears and work on adding more upgrades to the game (while editing the existing maps and creating unique individual levels).[/p][p][/p][p]Players who are reading this, if you want to try the 3rd level out right now just click the 3rd map location icon and press START and it will work (even though there's no image yet for the map location).[/p][p]
