CONTROLLER SUPPORT UPDATE

[p]MAJOR UPDATE:

Controller support for Vanquish Evil now available!

This update was playtested with a PS4 controller.

CONTROLS:

Directional Pad - 8 directional movements (gameplay), Menu UI Navigation

Left shoulder button (Dash)

Right shoulder button (Interact)

Right stick (Cursor aim, 360 degrees angle rotation)

"X" button ("pivot mode" or "anchored mode" cursor aim options)
- PIVOT MODE (sets a target pivot)
- ANCHORED MODE (fixed aim target)
- both of these modes can still have manual aim override

"A" button (confirm/equip/unequip Gear)

"B" button (cancel/back for Menu UI)

Start button (Pause game/In-Game Settings Menu)

Enemy Spawn Adjustments, Boss Design Adjustments, Level Design Adjustments

Boss Adjustments to:

- Undead Disciple in The Crimson Dungeon (Level 4)
- HP, Cinematic intro screen, boss missiles now move towards player, changed attack from every 3 seconds to every 6 seconds

- Blob Spawner in The Festering Sewers (Level 4)
- HP, Cinematic intro screen, added Blob Spawn minions

Enemy Spawning and Level Design adjustments to:

- The Crimson Dungeon (wall changes, added more dungeon coffins)
- The Festering Sewers (wall changes, added dungeon coffins)

UI QOL + Shop Content Update

UI QOL Update:

- Gear descriptions updated
- Item description updated (1 new item in Shop)

Balance + QOL Update

Balancing:

BUFFS for:

- Lightning Bolt Damage
- Frost Wave Damage

Damage Text:

- Added frost damage color for Ice Spikes and Frost Wave when collision with enemies

UI:

- Quest completed text displays properly in The Festering Sewers when Blob Spawner boss is defeated

QOL: Optimization for Gameplay, UI (Audio & Visual)

This Early Access update focuses on polish, performance, and progression:

- Gameplay performance
- New music
- UI improvements (visual and audio)
- Enemy spawning (better performance optimization)
- The SHOP menu has improved UI (audio and visual)
- The Map Selection menu has gated progression (complete the first map to advance to the 2nd, etc.)
- Audio improvements for Ancient Sentinel (spiked flail swing sound now starts and stops as intended, for example, stops when upgrade screen is active)
