The Mors 2.5 Coming Soon!

Hello everyone! With Grim's Journey: The Host launching soon, I have decided to revisit The Mors after the launch and implement some quality of life updates as well as general improvements to the game based on all of your awesome feedback!
Save System Overhaul
I have decided to completely re-write the save system for the game, and make it more like the system I implemented for The Host where you can save and load progress at anytime, anywhere! No more dying at the end of a level only to have to start all over again from the beginning! ːsteamhappyː
Too... Many... Matches
I have watched dozens of videos of you all playing the game and I have noticed something almost all of them have in common, your inventory gets absolutely stuffed with matches! So much so that the entire rest of the game you have no more room for anything else! So I am going to be tweaking the item spawns in the game, as well as changing up the flow of how and when items are introduced to the player.
Shorter Load Times
Starting the game for the first time takes way too long to load, also loading a level from the main menu also takes way too long. So I will be doing some optimizing to get those load times as short as possible!
More Stable Items
Sometimes items would behave, oddly, such as a key that gets added to your inventory without you actually picking it up. In addition to overhauling the save system I will also be overhauling the entire way the game handles items, the player, and your inventory!
More Engaging Monsters
The first level always had a buffer period between when the player starts the level and when the monsters start lurking around, but this was based on progress, not time. So if a player took 5 minutes to trigger the monsters, great! But sometimes a player would take hours to reach that point, and by then they have gathered every item in the level, burned all the candles down, and gotten bored because nothing is happening. Well not anymore! Now the fun will begin based on a multitude of factors so that the game stays engaging, but still feels fair as to not ambush first time players trying to get used to the controls! ːsteamthumbsupː
Make Yourself Heard!
I am open to any feedback or suggestions you may have for The Mors! Please feel free to leave a comment on this post with your input and I will be sure to consider it for a possible addition to the update!

Thank you all so much for playing The Mors! If you want to follow what I'm up to you can find me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, feel free to stop by and say hello! ːsteamhappyː
