To celebrate the launch of the UGC submission tool, we are kicking things off with a wave of 3 brand-new Room Skins created by players!

Congratulations to Sir Javaer (Wolfy Studio), Zixia (Zixian Gas Refinery), and KRURK (Viking Protection Runes)!




The new Skins can be accessed by selecting the Room Info Skin Panel and purchased using Starbux. Each designer will receive 10% of the Starbux when a player purchases the skin.

  • Rush Command formula has been updated!
  • All Captain Crew Stats have been rebalanced!
  • Captains will be able to change their Captain Crew via the website soon
  • Stasis Shield now prevents Power Supply from Reactor Rooms
  • Crews will no longer reposition Mid-combat
  • Corsair EMP Duration increased from 3.75 to 4.5 seconds
  • All Crafts now Pause their Reload Progress when they have no Target
  • All Crafts now Pause their Reload Progress when the Enemy Ship is Cloaked

Galaxy Community Update 8

[h2]Hi Captains![/h2]

Warning: The Rush Command Special Ability will change as part of the next update scheduled in mid-April.

We are hoping to provide as much warning as possible for any users currently looking at updating their roster.


[h3]Rush Command Changes[/h3]

The new Description for Rush Command: Instantly increases reload progress of the current room by X% divided by the room’s max power.

The formula for X% is as follows:
(1+(ABL/50)) / Room Max Power

Importantly, this means that Crew with Rush Command will increase the progress of a 1 Power Room without investing any points into their Ability Stat.

However, Rooms with 4 Power or more will require a larger investment in the Crew’s ABL stat (proportional to the increase in Max Power).


[h3]Rebuilt Battle Sync System[/h3]

Over the last few months, the team has been hard at work on a new system to tackle issues where Battle results do not match the Starlog.

This week, A new system was introduced to the game, providing a dedicated server to re-run and certify any battle results that did not match the predicted outcome.

This also helps us track and take action against attempts to edit battle results and prevents user attempts to change outcomes by force-closing the game.

Thank you for your patience while this system was being built. As a major hurdle for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience, we needed to ensure the appropriate level of dedication.

Please report any strange instances of desynced Battle Results to us via email or on the PSS Discord linked below.


[h3]UGC: First Submission Review[/h3]

Many players have submitted fantastic Room Skin designs via the UGC Page – great work!

The team will review all submissions to select the first user-made Room Skin to add to the game in 1 week. Visit the page to Vote on which design you would like to see added to the game.

The winning designer will see their work added to the game, receiving 10% of all Starbux proceeds when another user purchases the Skin.

Players can purchase the new Room Skin by selecting the ‘Skin’ button inside the Base Room’s Info Panel.

If you are still hoping to submit a design but won’t be able to upload it in time for the first review, don’t worry! We will be performing these reviews regularly.

Sweet chocolatey goodness – an Eggstra Planetary Easter begins this Tuesday, the 19th of March!

Limited edition Consumables, Equipment, Room Skins, Hulls, Crew, Encounters, and more will be available for a limited time until Tuesday, the 2nd of April.

Sneak Peek: Upcoming Content!

[h2]Hi Captains![/h2]

We hope you have been having some great matchups during this week’s Tournament Finals. This month’s prize will feature a new Hangar Room Skin Kit, with a unique version for the top-ranked Fleet.

In case you missed it, January’s Prize introduced brand new Special Tier Turret Modules to the game, the DFA Lazer Turret, and Egress Lazer Turret!

The Egress Lazer Turret is currently available in the Dove Store.

[h3]Sneak Peek: Crew Collections[/h3]

The team has been working on a huge amount of new content. Each addition will drastically improve gameplay options, focusing on expanding player choice. In particular, the Crew Collection System is seeing a major upgrade.

12 new collections are being added to Pixel Starships. Several existing Collection Bonuses will also be reworked – underlining each Crew selection as a meaningful and strategic decision.

Over 120 previously unrepresented Crew, from Unique to Legendary, now belong to a Collection.



Collection Bonuses have been reworked to perform in a more meaningful and engaging way during Ship Battles.

Some of the new Bonuses include:

  • Chance to Summon creature when Attacking
  • Explode upon Death
  • Chance to cast Urgent Repair when Repairing
  • Increased Walk/Run Speed
  • Increased Armor for Current Room
  • Reflect all Damage while Frozen
  • Clear Room Debuffs when Attacking
  • Cast Bloodlust on when Killing another Crew
  • Chance to spawn with extra Items


Each Collection will include a new Achievement and in-game Pin.





While this feature is in the final stages of development, we will continue to improve each Collection as testing is being finalized.


[h3]Sneak Peek: Testing Ground/War Games[/h3]

Soon, players will be able to enter into a Ship Battle with several preset Enemy Ship Challenges.

Initially, these Battles will allow players to test and improve their current Layout/Strategy while competing for a ranking on a Global Ladder.

Placing on the Ladder will provide in-game rewards and bragging rights.

Once further developed, this feature will also include Special Event Ships that can break the limits placed on regular Hulls.

These targets will each require unique considerations and a strategic approach to overcome new dangers; Unlimited Room Counts (Hangar, Shield, Super Weapons), Disabled Room Types, Crew Bosses, and a variety of Unique Victory states/requirements.


[h3]Sneak Peek: Galactic Wormholes[/h3]

Many players have asked for a new type of challenge across all levels of progression, a mode not constrained by daily limits.

Galactic Wormholes introduce multi-battle incursions. Each Wormhole will steadily increase in difficulty based on: the Terms or Environment for the next Battle, choices made earlier in the incursion, and continuing Player Debuffs and more.



Players will need to make important decisions at set intervals throughout each wormhole to progress as far as possible. Rankings, Rewards, and Achievements will be available for every Captain cunning enough to survive the toughest Wormhole Incursions.

Stay tuned as we plan to announce more details very soon.


[h3]Sneak Peek: Ship Level 13[/h3]

Similar to other Major Ship Hull upgrades, Ship Level 13 will also provide access to a new Room Type. This new design will play a strong role in Ship Layout, buffing each room directly adjacent to its current position.

Level 13 will include several other surprises, but for now – you can check out some of the new Ship Hull art below.




[h3]Updated Room Skins[/h3]

As part of a future update, all Room Skins will become available for Rooms at any level!

All players will be able to use their hard-earned cosmetic layouts immediately, rather than waiting until the desired Room is max level.
