Galaxy Patch Notes V0.953.4

  • New Unity update
  • Added new Social Media link buttons in Options Menu
  • Purchase UI no longer re-scales after purchasing Sales
  • Purchase UI will now display an Expiry Timer for Sales
  • Client will now only try to update Player Rankings once every 60 minutes
  • Crew Sidebar performance improved
  • Crew AI interface improved, new option to Scroll Up or Down
  • Changed Level Requirements to display ‘Equal to or Greater than’ instead of ‘Greater than’
  • VIP Rewards will no longer display if there are no Bonus Rewards

  • Mining Drones now cost 1 Starbux instead of 25 to reacquire
  • Removed 3-second wait for Training Consumables
  • Implemented a ‘Missing Chance Check’ for Hazards (Cryo-Freeze, etc.)
  • Added “Ship is Under Construction” text to Shipyard
  • Improved the trail effect for Missile’s (after hitting a Room in Battle)
  • New Hint: How to Prestige Crew
  • Crew that are not available will no longer count towards Collection Achievements

  • Fixed Galaxy Bob Crew Profile Sprite
  • Fixed an issue where the Server returns an Error after Accepting a Mission Battle
  • Fixed Surrender popup in battle not closing after pressing Confirm
  • Fixed Rearm Menu display check
  • Fixed an issue with New Promotions displaying incorrectly on certain devices
  • Fixed Mission Rewards incorrectly in Adventure Battle.
  • Fixed Mission Rewards providing lower than Level Average.
  • Fixed several Crew Attack animation issues
  • Fixed Hypergate Wrap not showing on Inspected Ships
  • Fixed Item Menu to no longer show Crew that are not on the Account
  • The next Major Update will be focussed on Performance and Stability

Galaxy Community Update 2

Hi Captains!

In today’s Community Update, we would like to touch on a few known issues and what the team is currently working on. Don’t Forget: Prestige Tree Recipe’s change today!


[h3]MINING DRONES[/h3]

Issues tied to this system will be greatly reduced moving forward. Our earlier fixes for the Mining Drone System worked on additional safeguards, but this has led to the discovery of a larger issue taking place. After our next update, we do not expect Mining Drones to mischievously disappear on their Captain.

Additionally, the price of Mining Drones has been reduced to 1 Starbucks. We will unveil more about our plans regarding Mining Drones in the near future.


[h3]PERFORMANCE & STABILITY[/h3]

Our next large content push will be entirely focussed on game performance, stability and Bug Fixes. We feel strongly that now is the time to ensure our current content meets the standards of quality PSS deserves.

As a result, we will be dedicating very little development time to New Features for the next large update, and will continue to focus on listening and responding to player feedback.


[h3]SUPERWEAPON ROUND-UP[/h3]

The balance team has been making tweaks and adjustments to Superweapons since their release. We want to note that performance reviews are ongoing, and the weapons are still subject to change.

The BFR has seen a fair amount of re-work so far. After removing the ability to attack Disabled Rooms, we also restored its speed to match that from release. Soon after, reload speeds were increased to match expected performance.

The HWACHA Missile guidance system has seen only a few small changes. It has seen a slight damage increase and the addition of AP damage to its Damage Split.

HWACHA is currently under review, as the chance to target Single/Split rooms is not matching expectations.

The Superlaser has seen the least change of all so far, seeing a slight adjustment to Crew/Hull damage. We have a number of designs that change how this weapon performs, and the bonuses it provides.

We will need to take adequate time testing any changes, or new mechanics, but keep an eye out for announcements regarding the Superlaser very soon.


[h3]TOURNAMENT CHANGES[/h3]

We are working through some final testing and feedback review for the upcoming Tournament changes.

July’s Tournament (Tournament 61) will be held in the new format. These changes will also address a number of long-standing complaints (Keep Looking, No Opponents, Immunities, etc.)

As a side note, we are also reducing the amount of resources lost from a failed Defense in General PvP by 50%.


[h3]KICKSTARTER CREW DESIGNS[/h3]

Keenly-eyed Captains will soon notice a number of new Crew sneaking into the Galaxy. Once these designs are completed, we will begin working on exclusive Ship Hull designs.

We anticipate these designs taking much longer to complete, but we will announce any progress with the Designer’s permission.


[h3]ON THE HORIZON[/h3]

Finally, we wanted to touch on a couple of upcoming changes that are still under development.

We are currently trialing different ways to represent RNG chance tables in-game. We want this information to be detailed while not overly cluttering/confusing the game UI.

The training re-work is still underway! We will be able to make a post dedicated to the long-reaching effects of these changes in the near future.

Galaxy Update: Patch Today!

Hi, Captains!


Over the next couple of hours, we will begin rolling out patch 0.950.2 to address a large number of performance issues and bugfixes. This update will not be available for iOS users for a short period.

In the interest of providing a little more warning and detail in our Patch notes, please find an itemized list of changes below. We will continue to improve this process to provide even more detail in the future, including exact values where possible.
  • Added new Superweapon Room Type. New AI has been created to match
  • Superweapons have undergone slight balance changes, with more to come after Tournament
  • Mission Performance & Load time improved
  • Players will now return to the Galaxy Scene when returning from a mission
  • Dolores' Head and Female Synth Body Missions have been re-added to the game
  • UI will no longer be disabled during fly-in animation in the main scene
  • Fixed some issues with Desync in PvP Battles
  • Fixed a bug with the display of Requirements for Ship purchasing and Galaxy Map system access
  • Fixed a bug with Stasis Shield ability where affected rooms can still activate while under Stasis
  • Fixed a bug with Blender Menu resetting to highest unlocked rarity after a purchase has been made
  • Fixed a bug with Lift color after upgrade
  • Fixed a bug with duplicated messages (chat or inbox)
  • Fixed a bug with Dropship reward panels displaying in front of character info panels
  • Fixed a major performance issue primarily affecting Re-arm
  • STEAM - Removed free trial UI for subscription
  • STEAM - Pressing ESC in the victory screen no longer gives the option to escape
  • STEAM - Sticker resize bars now get destroyed by back button or pressing ESC
  • STEAM - Crew Sidebar will no longer stretch crew images
  • Logging in to another account no longer forces cache to be cleared
  • All users can now clear cache and force restart from the settings menu
