Dominus Automa Public Playtest is now OPEN TO EVERYONE

[p]Allow us to start this message with a small confession - we're completely out of access codes for the Public Playtest. We got so many join request, that the whole received allocation just disappeared in less than a week.[/p][p][/p][p]But that's actually a good thing - because of this big success, we are now allowed to open the test to EVERYONE, without the need to register or wait.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently all that you have to do to play, is simply download the Public Playtest version of the game and just enjoy it. So if you haven't had the option to test it yet, now's the time! Please go and check your email, to see if you're one of the lucky people that were included in the first wave of our invitations. If you don't receive it today, fret not, they will be going out in waves over the next couple of days - so there is a (rather high) chance that you'll get yours at a later date.

Life skill experimentation - Gathering and cooking

[p]🌿 Dev Update: Gathering & Cooking Join the World of Dominus Automa 🍲[/p][p][/p][p]Heroes of Dominus,[/p][p]Until now, the journey has focused on battle, strategy, and survival.[/p][p]
But every living world needs more than warriors - it needs gatherers, artisans, and cooks.
[/p][p]This week, we’re introducing two foundational systems that bring balance to the realm:[/p]
  • [p]Gathering: Heroes can now collect herbs, berries, and other resources scattered across the world.[/p]
  • [p]Cooking: Those materials can be turned into meals and consumables that grant short-term buffs, recovery, or special bonuses.[/p]
[p]Our goal is simple: to make Dominus a living, breathing ecosystem where every playstyle matters.[/p][p]Some of you will fight bosses.

Some will cook the meals that keep the warriors alive.

Others will trade goods and build an economy that supports them all.
[/p][p]Every role has a purpose. Every hero contributes.
[/p][p]This update is just the beginning of our life-skilling expansion, designed for players who love the calm, rewarding rhythm of gathering, crafting, and creating value in the world.[/p]

Your hero can be your in-game WIKI

[p]Is it possible to create a complex game that doesn't require browsing YouTube or wikis?[/p][p][/p][p]We started thinking about how we could use the built-in in-game LLM and the ability to talk to your character so that everything the player needs to know is available in-game, rather than on external websites. [/p][p][/p][p]The old solution is alright on a PC, but if you've spent years playing complex gacha mobile games like Summoner's War or my Gemstone Legends, you know what a pain in the ass it is to leave the app to search for guides.[/p][p][/p][p]We tested a solution where your character “knows the entire wiki,” and you can simply ask them a question in-game (via text or voice) how to deal with specific challenges, without leaving the game. [/p][p][/p][p]Does it work? Pretty neat.[/p]
