Hot Fix Patch - Version 6.0.1

[p][/p][p]Hey Anglers,[/p][p][/p][p]We’ve just released a hotfix patch to address several urgent issues that came up after the Norway Update on Steam and Epic Games. At the same time, we’re actively working on a larger patch that will resolve many more issues and improvements in the near future.[/p][p][/p][p]Before we dive into the fixes, we’d like to address a concern raised by some players regarding longer reeling times in the Maldives after the update. After reviewing in-game statistics, we found that the average reeling time has actually decreased by about two minutes compared to data from the week before the release. Based on this, we’re unable to confirm the issue and are seeing the opposite result instead.[/p][p][/p][p]Now, let’s take a look at what’s been addressed in this hotfix:[/p]
 1. [p]Inventory Sorting: Fixed an issue where combining Max Line Weight with Show Subgroups caused fishing lines to disappear from the inventory.[/p]
 2. [p]Mission direction hints no longer flash after closing the Tablet and now appear only when intended.[/p]
 3. [p]Corrected incorrect template names in the Valkyrie Saga Pack.[/p]
 4. [p]Fixed crashes that could occur when starting a Fishing Together session.[/p]
 5. [p]Resolved an issue where players were unable to enter a boat after joining a competition.[/p]
 6. [p]Fixed freezes that could happen when restarting the game during an active competition.[/p]
 7. [p]Improved stability when launching Fishing Together sessions, preventing occasional freezes.[/p]
 8. [p]Fixed a bug where players could spawn without rods in hand in Fishing Together sessions after restarting.[/p]
 9. [p]Boats no longer retain reduced speed from Rough Water Zones after changing pins.[/p]
[p][/p][p]We appreciate your patience along the way and hope you are enjoying all the Christmas activities and extreme fishing at Skarland Fjord![/p][p][/p][p]Tight lines and Merry Fishmas![/p][p][/p][p]_______________________________________________________________[/p][p]Follow us on social media to stay tuned and be in touch with our lovely community:[/p][p]Discord[/p][p]Facebook Group [/p]

[/p][p]Uh-oh! Now we've got another misfortune on our hands! The mischievous elderly Krampus fish have stolen Santa's glasses, beard, and hat and are causing mayhem in the nearby waters. Our Brave Angler will have to track down these troublesome fish, capture them, and return Santa's stolen items.

To catch them, you'll need to question their accomplices—fish who, for some reason, decided to tag along and cause chaos. Be wary though—these fish have a knack for lying, so you’ll need to catch a fair number of them to get the truth. Get your rods ready, it’s time for some fishing justice!

Release Note: Skårland Fjord, Norway

[p][/p][p]Hey Anglers,
[/p][p]Welcome to Skårland Fjord, Norway – a new waterway where anglers can focus on extreme fishing and brutal fights with bottom-dwelling predators!
[/p][p]To welcome the launch together with our amazing community, we’ve prepared a free Shark Cap and 5 Repair Kits just for you. All players, regardless of level, can head to the Personal Offers tab and claim these fin-tastic presents, but only for a limited time, so don’t miss out![/p][p][/p][p]Now, let's discover what’s new in this update![/p][p][/p]
Skårland Fjord, Norway
[p][/p][p]Set out for a brand-new destination — Skårland Fjord, Norway, 10x10 km which makes it 100 square kilometers (almost 25,000 acres) of icy Norwegian Sea. These waters are home to 25 cold-water fish species, all of them completely new to Fishing Planet, including regional icons like Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, Herring, several Cod species, as well as predators such as the European Angler. You’ll also encounter true giants such as Atlantic Halibut, Porbeagle Shark, European Sea Sturgeon, and the long-living Greenland Shark. With every form and variation, Skårland Fjord offers 79 fish to discover, making it one of the most diverse and content-rich waterways in the game![/p][p][/p][p]Players can unlock this location at level 105, or dive right into the fishing saga with one of the DLC packs, each including 30- or 60-day access, plus an Advanced License and Premium account for the same time period. The maximum level cap in the game has been increased from 100 to 110.[/p][p][/p][p]Watch the video on YouTube and write a comment under it to get a chance to win Valkyrie Saga Pack with the brand new boat and 60 days of access to Skårland Fjord, Norway![/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Long awaited crane for huge fish available now!
[p][/p][p]Introducing a brand-new Valkyrie fishing boat that stays stable in rough waters keeping its speed, cuts through high waves, and even breaks ice! It’s all about getting more out of every trip at sea. With 3 rod holders per angler, all four players on board can fish multiple rods at once — meaning more bites and way more fish in the same amount of time. The rod holders are fully adjustable, so you can set everything up exactly the way you like. While this boat is focused mostly on bottom fishing, you can still take it across all saltwater locations in the game and use it for trolling as well.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
For truly massive catches, the Valkyrie features a heavy-fish crane. Once your catch hits a certain weight, the crane lifts it aboard and lets you snap stunning shots of your haul. And the best part is that you don't have to own the boat, since all guests in Fishing Together sessions can share the crane for their giant fish as well.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The Valkyrie comes equipped with an extra-large 3,500 kg fish storage with max fish capacity of 720 kg. For the first time in the game, an ocean boat features refrigerated, fish-friendly storage, keeping your catch in top condition and rewarding you with a generous +20% Credits and +20% XP bonus for every fish. Add the ability to fish with four rods at once, and you’ll quickly notice how much faster you can level up.[/p][p][/p][p]Dive into a new chain of Adventure Missions and help out the local residents along the way. All players will unlock useful Tablet firmware upgrades and earn unique rewards. And for those who own the Valkyrie and are ready to take on truly massive catches, there's a chance to face one of the biggest monsters on The Planet.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Valkyrie Fishing Boat, 3 next-generation AquaVolt™ electric bottom setups, a full arsenal of terminal tackle, and 50 Repair Kits can be obtained with the Valkyrie Saga Pack. With 60 days of access, Advanced License, Premium account, and extra Marker and Navigation Buoys, you’re fully equipped to jump straight into big game fishing and start building your heroic epos on the open water.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
Ingrid Fishing Boat
[p][/p][p]Ingrid is a sturdy, traditional Norwegian fishing boat built for harsh northern conditions. Compact, reliable, and easy to handle, it feels right at home among narrow fjords and rocky coastlines. Just like the Valkyrie, Ingrid stays steady in Rough Water Zones, keeping control in bad weather, and can break through ice. Ingrid is available for rent at Skårland Fjord — giving every Angler a chance to experience authentic Nordic fishing without owning a boat.

[/p][p][/p]
Electric Rods and Reels Setups
[p][/p][p]Some of the new species in Skårland Fjord can grow to truly massive sizes — up to 700 kg. To take on giants like these, Electric Rods and Reels are finally making their debut in Fishing Planet. This update introduces two brand-new equipment categories: Electric Saltwater Bottom Casting Rods and Electric Saltwater Casting Reels. [/p][p]Designed to work together, electric rod and reel setups are built to handle extreme pressure where regular gear simply won’t hold up. Electric reels make your life much easier – with the push of a button, they automatically pull in the line, giving you a huge advantage against deep-sea predators. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]When mounted on a rod holder, electric reels become even more efficient and help you maintain better control over multiple rods at once.  Please note that electric reels also feature a manual mode which offers a higher Max Load. You can switch between manual mode and electric mode for optimal reeling in different situations. Electric reels also come with different reeling speeds, so feel free to experiment and find the best match for each type of fish.[/p]
Saltwater Spinning Rods for vertical jigging
[p][/p][p]These rods are generally shorter, with a highly responsive blank and a reinforced tip, allowing for sharp, repetitive vertical movements—perfect for lifting and dropping heavy jigs with precision.
[/p][p]You can get two powerful Njörinvik™ spinning setups for vertical jigging, along with a Rod Case, an extra-spacious Tackle Wagon, and a wide selection of lures and baits in the Nordic Legend Pack. To fully embrace the harsh northern vibe, the pack also includes a Viking-themed outfit, as well as Sunglasses and a Headlamp to keep you ready for any conditions. On top of that, you’ll receive 30 days of access, Advanced License, Premium, 50 Repair Kits, and extra Marker and Navigation Buoys to feel prepared for brutal northern fishing from the very start.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
New Saltwater Terminal Tackles
[p][/p][p]Experiment with a fresh lineup of saltwater gear now available in the in-game Store. Light up the depths with Torches, Saltwater Glowing Mono Lines and Braids. Stay prepared with Colorful Fluorocarbon and Steel Leaders. Tungsten™ Saltwater Sinkers add extra weight, helping your rigs reach the bottom faster. Try the new Saltwater Golden Hooks, designed to work with a wide range of baits, including Atlantic Herring, Lesser Sand Eel, Atlantic Mackerel Cut Baits, Bluey, Seal Blubber, Ragworms, Black Lugworms, Peeler Crab, and Razor Shell.[/p][p]You’ll also find a bunch of new Saltwater Softbaits, including Baby Halibut, Glowing Squid, Twisters, and Slugs, that can be paired with Saltwater Jigheads, making them perfect for vertical jigging and trolling.[/p]
New Inventory Sorting System
[p][/p][p]As Fishing Planet keeps growing and new gear arrives with every update, managing your Inventory should feel easier. This update introduces new Inventory Sorting Filters. Each Inventory category now comes with its own filter options, letting you sort items exactly the way you want. Organize your gear by name, level, hook size, weight, line capacity, durability, and more — with sorting options tailored to each category. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can also switch between ascending and descending order, hide or show subgroups, and keep everything clean and easy to navigate. Large inventories are now far more comfortable to handle. Expand or collapse item groups with a single click and jump straight to what you need — no more endless scrolling. This is just the first step of our ongoing Inventory rework, with more improvements planned for future updates.[/p]
A Living Ecosystem and Immersion
[p][/p][p]Skårland Fjord feels more alive thanks to locals living in the area, and active wildlife including seals, dolphins and orcas regularly appearing in the water around you. The weather adds to the atmosphere, bringing long daylight hours, bright white nights, and a sky that’s constantly changing. Calm, cloudy days can quickly shift into powerful storms with rough seas, lightning and thunder, and snowfall. And when conditions are just right, the northern lights may appear, turning an ordinary fishing trip into something truly memorable.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Rough Waters Zones
[p][/p][p]Brace yourself for Rough Water Zones, where the waves rise and you’ll need to slow down. You’ll get a notification as you approach these areas, and the HUD icon will change to let you know you’ve entered waters where extra caution is needed. [/p][p][/p]
Repair Kits
[p][/p][p]A long-awaited quality-of-life improvement is here: you can now repair items without equipping them from your character. Simply click the Wrench icon next to an item and confirm — fast, clean, and hassle-free.[/p][p]We’re also introducing a brand-new feature — Repair Kits. Long fish fights and constant pressure can wear down even the toughest gear, and now you have a way to stay in the action without interruptions. Repair Kits let you fix your equipment right on the waterway, without returning to the Global Map or unequipping your setup — even during Competitions, Tournaments, or Fishing Together sessions. And for Premium SE series items, repairs are possible even after they’ve been fully broken. You’ll be able to repair any item in your Inventory with a single click, whenever you need it. In case you run out of the kits, you can restock instantly in the Services tab of the Shop. [/p][p]
[/p][p]
To give every angler a chance to try out this new feature, we’ve prepared you a gift of 5 Repair Kits. Simply log into the game and visit the Personal Offers tab in the Premium Shop to claim them![/p][p]Moreover, you can now earn Repair Kits by completing challenges. You’ll receive 1 Repair Kit for reaching Level III of each of the Line Breaker, Rod Breaker, and Reel Breaker achievements, as well as for completing the third stages of all cleaning challenges that require reeling in underwater items across all waterways.[/p]
Monster Missions
[p][/p][p]Dive into new Monster Missions! This time the Brave Angler is called in to help local residents deal with the Fenrivores and the chaos these creatures left behind. At this point you can choose whether you want to fish the monster solo or with friends.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Beyond that, you’ll also take part in the mysterious Helgaflut ritual — but its true purpose is something you’ll discover in the game.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
Missions, Competitions and Achievements
[p][/p][p]Put your skills to the test in 5 Competitions and unlock 14 brand-new Achievements. Take on numerous Exploring, Collecting, Mastering, and Fishing Together missions to sharpen your angling skills, enjoy the journey, and earn useful rewards that will carry your fishing saga deeper into the fjord.[/p][p]We’ve also made a few improvements in the Competitions UI:  simplified entering competitions by introducing a unified interface, whether a player is registered in one competition or multiple ones. Now, when you get a Competition Start Window now allows the following:[/p]
 1. [p]If you’re on another waterway and click on Start, you will be transferred to the Global Map so as to make sure you have all the needed equipment for the competition and then join it on the waterway.[/p]
 2. [p]If you’re already on the Global Map, the window will take you directly to the competition waterway, or you can just close it if you are still making preparations in the Inventory.[/p]
 3. [p]If you’re already on the competition waterway, you’ll enter the competition immediately.[/p]
[p]We’ve also added a new Finish Competition button, allowing you to leave a competition at any time if you don’t wish to continue. Along with that, we made several small adjustments to make the overall experience clearer and more comfortable. This is just the first iteration of the updated Competitions UI, and we plan to keep improving it—so feel free to share your feedback on these changes.[/p][p] [/p]
Bug Fix for Multiple Issues
[p]As usual, big releases bring a lot of fixes for the issues that’s been resolved before and had to be delivered to the live servers. [/p][p]One important improvement we’d like to highlight concerns how large fish are displayed. Previously, after catching a fish, it would appear on the grip with the usual keep/release and photo mode options. However, for very large fish this often looked unrealistic, with the fish's head filling most of the screen and causing visual issues. To solve this, large catches will now be shown directly in the character’s hands, skipping the grip stage for a more visually clean presentation.[/p][p]Here’s what else has been fixed, resolved and improved.[/p][p][/p]
Boats, Yachts & Water Behavior
1. [p]Resolved an issue where boat speed dropped during trolling when captains switched at higher speeds.[/p]

DevDiary: Gear for the North

[p][/p][p]Hey Anglers, [/p][p]In our previous DevDiaries, you’ve already wandered through the majestic fjords and met the fish species that rule these icy waters. But the North is never gentle — and the fish that live here are as fierce as the sea itself. To face them, you need gear that doesn’t just survive the conditions, but matches their strength and spirit. You know better than anyone how exhausting a long fight with a true sea-beast can be. That’s why the equipment in this update is crafted to stand firm in the cold, endure the struggle, and rise to any challenge these waters dare to throw at a Brave Angler like you.
[/p][p]You’ll also learn about several quality-of-life improvements coming with this update — new Inventory Sorting, easier ways to repair your gear, and more. [/p][p][/p][p]So let’s dive into everything that’s coming your way![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]With Skårland Fjord, we’re excited to introduce several new equipment brands to Fishing Planet. You’ll soon get to know Njörinvik™, inspired by rugged Nordic engineering; AquaVolt™, built around state-of-the-art electric technologies; and Tungsten™, a new premium brand specializing in high-performance terminal tackle.[/p][p][/p][p]And with good reason — some of the new species in this location can reach up to 700 kg. To take on such giants, Electric Rods and Reels will finally make their debut in the game. We’re adding two entirely new equipment categories: Electric Saltwater Bottom Casting Rods and Electric Saltwater Casting Reels. As you may have seen in the previous DevDiary, this waterway is largely designed for bottom fishing — and this powerful new gear is built precisely for that challenge. It enables anglers to withstand extreme loads and battle massive deep-sea predators, reeling them up from the depths with confidence and control.[/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Bottom Casting E-Rods
[p][/p][p]Saltwater Bottom Casting E-Rods are made specifically for electric reels, so they can handle the kind of pressure that regular rods just aren’t built for. They’re thicker, stronger, and not as flexible at the top, which gives them more backbone when you’re reeling heavy fish in, like a Greenland Shark, from deep water. [/p][p]Their action is more power-focused, keeping the rod steady when the electric reel starts pulling the line. With that kind of force, a normal rod would wear down fast — that’s why these are fitted with metal roller guides. The handle and butt section are also reinforced, so you can safely place the rod into a rod holder or lock it into an electric reel station without worrying. [/p][p][/p]
Sigma F™
[p][/p][p]Compact and effortlessly easy to handle, Sigma F™ is the go-to saltwater bottom casting E-ROD for casual fishing. It offers a carbon-composite blank that delivers smooth action and great feel when targeting ocean predators. The fluorescent tip enhances bite detection in low light, giving you a visual edge when fishing after dark. Equipped with SmartClick®, the reel mounts in one seamless motion with instant power and data activation. The built-in VoltSnap® charging system maximizes efficiency, keeping your rod charged and ready with minimal downtime.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Chillarc™
[p][/p][p]Chillarc™ is a saltwater bottom casting E-ROD made of responsive carbon-composite blank that offers excellent sensitivity and controlled flex. Equipped with the CoreCharge® integrated battery system, Chillarc™ delivers clean, uninterrupted power to your E-REEL directly through the handle. VoltSnap® charging tech keeps the internal system cool and efficient, minimizing downtime between sessions.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
PulseWave™
[p]PulseWave™ is a saltwater bottom casting E-ROD that features a CoreCharge® system inside the handle to power your E-REEL directly, maintaining a balanced setup even during intense battles. With SmartClick® direct-mount tech, the reel snaps into place in one smooth motion, activating power and data transfer. Reinforced by TorqueArc® architecture, PulseWave™ keeps its shape under stress, distributing force evenly and preventing torsion.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Casting E-Reels
[p][/p][p]Electric reels are made to take the physical strain out of deep-sea fishing. With one button, the reel can pull the line in automatically, saving you from constant manual reeling. It’s a huge advantage when you’re fighting deep-water species, dealing with powerful fish, or simply don’t want to burn your hands and stamina on every catch. [/p][p]The reel shows its full potential when paired with an E-Rod. You get two modes: manual, which works like a regular reel, and electric, which handles the lifting for you. Once you hook a fish, the electric mode kicks in and starts reeling automatically making long, exhausting battles much easier to win.[/p]
Glacion™
[p][/p][p]Glacion™ is a compact electric casting reel designed for delivering quiet precision and reliable control. Glacion™ features the EnergySaver® intelligent power system, which automatically reduces energy use during idle moments, extending battery life. SubZero® thermal system protects internal components from cold-induced voltage drops, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operation in any climate.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Arcspark 2W™
[p][/p][p]Arcspark 2W™ electric casting reel features a reinforced aluminum frame and high-capacity motor that deliver smooth, consistent power. With QuickSync® magnetic alignment and marine-grade connectors, setup is fast and secure, providing instant integration with your E-ROD system. During long fights or under heavy load, StrainGuard® automatically adjusts torque output to prevent overheating and reduce stress on internal components.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
AmperDrive X™
[p][/p][p]AmperDrive X™ is a high-performance electric casting reel with a powerful motor that seamlessly switches between speed and torque modes on the fly. QuickSync® ensures fast, secure docking with your E-ROD via magnetic alignment and sealed connectors. StrainGuard® regulates output in real time to prevent overloads, while SubZero® thermal insulation keeps performance stable in cold conditions. With an intuitive LCD and full integration, AmperDrive X™ delivers unmatched control for serious deep-sea anglers.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Spinning Rods
[p][/p][p]You’ve already used Saltwater Spinning Rods before, but those were designed specifically for trolling and were therefore longer. Now we’re introducing versions built especially for vertical jigging, where the lure is worked directly beneath the boat in an up-and-down motion. These rods are generally shorter, with a highly responsive blank and a reinforced tip, allowing for sharp, repetitive vertical movements—perfect for lifting and dropping heavy jigs with precision.[/p]
Midgard™
[p][/p][p]Midgard™ is a spinning rod designed for inshore and medium-action fishing with the backbone needed for vertical jigging. Built on a responsive graphite blank, it offers the perfect balance of sensitivity and control. StrikeCap® reinforcement at the tip absorbs impact from aggressive strikes and sudden hooksets, protecting the blank from stress fractures. The StødigFoam® non-slip handle coating ensures steady control in all weather, providing all-day comfort whether you're casting from shore or boat.[/p][p]
[/p]
Asgard™
[p][/p][p]Asgard™ is a high-performance spinning rod perfectly suited for vertical jigging and dominating deep-water predators. Built on an ultra-dense carbon composite blank, it balances strength with refined sensitivity for luring predators from the depths. The BergRygg® reinforced backbone channels lifting power through the core, reducing mid-section flex during aggressive hook-ups. Frostbind® multi-layer coating protects joints and guides from salt, corrosion, and harsh temperature swings.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Spin Reels
[p][/p]
Lokasenna™
[p][/p][p]Lokasenna™ is a versatile spinning reel designed for inshore and medium saltwater action. Its ArmorFrame-X® integrated aluminum frame delivers a solid and stable gear foundation, maintaining alignment under pressure. SnurrBalanse®  rotor architecture reduces rotational mass for smoother start-up and less fatigue during high-speed retrieves, making it ideal for long casting sessions.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Ragnarök™
[p][/p][p]Ragnarök™ is a next-gen spinning reel built for extreme strength and relentless performance. Its MonoForge® one-piece aluminum frame eliminates flex under pressure, delivering unmatched rigidity and torque during heavy retrieves. The ZeroSlip® instant anti-reverse system, anchored directly to the pinion gear, delivers lightning-fast hook-setting power with zero backplay, giving you full control during high-speed strikes.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

New Inventory Sorting
[p][/p][p]As the game expands and dozens of new items arrive with every new waterway, your Inventory inevitably grows too — and we know it has become harder to navigate. That’s why it’s time to begin reworking the system to make managing your gear simpler and more comfortable. With this update, we’re introducing new Inventory Sorting Filters.[/p][p]Each category in your Inventory will now have a filter icon next to it, allowing you to choose exactly how you want the items in that category to be displayed. This gives you more control, faster navigation, and a cleaner, more intuitive experience when organizing your equipment.[/p][p]
[/p][p]You can group your items by Name, Level, Hook Size, Weight, Line Capacity, Durability and so on -  the available sorting options will differ depending on the category, showing only the parameters relevant to the items within that category. You can also choose whether to sort items in ascending or descending order, and show or hide Subgroups if you want.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can also expand and collapse item groups with a single click. Just tap the arrow next to any subcategory, and the inventory will unfold to show everything inside that group. Tap it again, and the section neatly closes back up. It’s a simple way to navigate large inventories without scrolling through endless lists.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We hope the new Inventory Sorting improvements will enhance your experience and help you better organize your equipment. This is the first phase of our ongoing Inventory rework, and additional improvements are planned for future updates.[/p][p][/p]
Jigging Lures
[p][/p]
Saltwater Softbaits
[p][/p][p]Softbaits are trending among anglers who value adaptable fishing techniques. They are made from soft, flexible materials like plastic, silicone or rubber, designed to mimic the appearance and movement of real baitfish, worms, or insects. They are often used with a weighted hook called a jighead.[/p][p]
[/p]
Glowing Squid
[p][/p][p]This squid-shaped softbait glows from the inside, mimicking the natural bioluminescence to attract predators like Halibut. Its lifelike swimming action and realistic profile make it especially effective in deep or murky waters. The glowing body creates a strong visual signal, drawing in fish from a distance. Crafted from durable materials, it's built to withstand repeated strikes and harsh conditions, offering reliable performance and super appeal to any predator.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Baby Halibut
[p][/p][p]This soft bait Halibut features a wide belly that adds extra wobble and vibration, instantly drawing the attention of nearby predators. The twin long tails stir the water with every twitch, delivering a smooth, flexible swimming action that mimics real prey. Crafted from high-toughness, eco-friendly PVC, it's both durable and safe for the environment. With realistic 3D eyes and detailed scale texture, this lure looks incredibly lifelike in the water, making it a go-to for tempting picky predators.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Twisters
[p][/p][p]This saltwater jigging lure is built to target massive ocean predators like Halibut and Cod. Its shape delivers ultra-realistic movement, even at slow retrieval speeds. The slim profile ensures a fast sink rate, while the wide tail adds a natural wobble that triggers strikes. Glitter-infused paint creates lifelike flashes underwater, boosting visibility in deep or murky conditions. Ideal for both slow and active jigging action.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Saltwater Slug
[p][/p][p]Designed to mimic a sand eel, a favorite prey for many bottom-dwelling fish, this long, slender soft bait delivers a super natural swimming action. It features a flexible body and a subtle tail that creates lifelike motion, perfect for tempting Halibut, Cod, and other saltwater hunters. Made from durable soft plastic, this Saltwater Slug is ideal for both casting and vertical jigging.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Jigheads
[p][/p][p]This saltwater jighead is perfect for rigging soft baits when targeting aggressive predators. Its streamlined shape helps it sink fast and stay stable, even in strong currents. The screw-lock keeper near the hook shank secures soft baits firmly in place, preventing slippage during aggressive strikes or long retrieves. Ideal for rigging with saltwater soft lures, it offers a strong, reliable hold and excellent control when targeting bottom-dwelling predators like halibut or cod.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Built heavy for deep drops and strong currents, it offers excellent stability and control during your retrieve. The jighead includes reinforced bait keepers near the hook to securely hold soft lures in place, even under aggressive strikes. Ideal for pairing with saltwater soft baits.
[/p]
Pilkers

Nordic Pilker
[p][/p][p]A classic Scandinavian oblong jigs, designed specifically for fishing in the cold northern waters of the Norwegian Sea and North Atlantic. Their shape creates a fluttering or darting action, copying the motion of a wounded fish and attracting predators. With the low center of gravity, they are well-suited for vertical jigging and typically come rigged with a single treble hook at the tail.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Nordic Banana Pilker
[p]Nordic Banana Pilker is an improved, reimagined version of the classic Nordic Pilker. Its unique shape creates a fluttering or darting action that mimics a wounded fish, drawing the attention of predators. With a low center of gravity, it's ideal for deepwater vertical jigging and typically comes rigged with a single treble hook at the tail.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Fish Pilker
[p]A metal pilker with a baitfish profile and a rainbow-reflective finish that flashes brightly underwater. It creates strong vibration and visual appeal on the drop, drawing attention even in deeper or murky waters. Equipped with two sharp single hooks on leaders and a lifelike tail fin for strike-triggering movement.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Terminal Tackle
[p][/p]
Torches
[p][/p][p]A torch is a luminous teaser for bottom setups, designed to attract predators in deep, dark waters where light barely reaches. Its bright, steady glow draws the attention of curious hunters from afar. At depths where visibility is limited, this luminous signal becomes a key trigger, turning passive predators into active biters.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Colorful Fluorocarbon Leaders
[p][/p][p]Bright fluorescent leaders that remain visible for anglers even in dark or murky saltwater, making it easier to track your rig and trigger strikes from curious predators. Built to withstand abrasion, salt, and toothy fish, they're perfect for tough fights in demanding conditions.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Steel Leaders
[p][/p][p]Made from tough steel wire, these leaders are built to handle aggressive, sharp-toothed fish. Their rigid construction resists bite damage and abrasion, making them a reliable choice for high-stress saltwater predator fishing.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Glowing Mono Lines
[p][/p][p]This mono line is crafted from high-performance materials that provide long-lasting durability. Its deep red color fades underwater, taking advantage of the natural light spectrum to stay less visible. Harder for fish to spot, it creates a more natural presentation and improves your chances of getting more bites.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Glowing Braids
[p][/p][p]This four-strand braided line offers a smooth, round profile that cuts through the water quickly. The near-zero stretch lets you feel even the lightest bite, while the high-strength PE fibers resist abrasion. A special color-lock coating prevents fading and protects against UV damage, keeping the line bright and reliable over time.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Golden Hooks
[p][/p][p]These hooks are crafted by Tungsten™, a brand known for premium terminal tackle. A round heavy-duty hook designed for long, secure fights. Equipped with side barbs that lock the catch firmly in place, making it much harder for the fish to shake loose during intense, drawn-out battles.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Saltwater Sinkers
[p][/p][p]These solid cylindrical sinkers are produced by Tungsten™. They help your rig cut through waves and stay put in strong currents. Their shape reduces snagging on rocky seabeds, making them a great choice for saltwater bottom fishing.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Baits
[p][/p][p]No fishing journey is complete without the right bait. The waters of the Norwegian Sea are home to creatures that can be downright brutal. To match their temperament, we’re introducing a new selection of baits crafted for deep-water predators and the sharp-toothed giants with options like Atlantic Herring, Lesser Sand Eel, Atlantic Mackerel Cut Baits, Bluey, Seal Blubber, Ragworms, Black Lugworms, Peeler Crab, and Razor Shell.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]For live bait, we’ve added Atlantic Herring and Lesser Sand Eel — both common in the region and well-known to local predators. Herring has that oily flesh and bright flash underwater that big fish senses instantly, while Sand Eel moves just the way northern bottom-feeders expect, making it an easy and familiar target. Together, they cover everything from mid-water hunters to deep-bottom species, giving you reliable bait that actually matches what these fish see every day.[/p][p][/p][p]The prepared options such as Atlantic Mackerel Cut Baits and Bluey provide tough, oily chunks that create a strong scent trail for Flatfish, Norway Seaperch, European Angler, Spiny Dogfish, and European Sea Sturgeon. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We’re also adding a range of natural baits that are widely used in northern saltwater fishing. Seal Blubber, Ragworms, Black Lugworms, Peeler Crab, Razor Shell – these are things local predators feed on every day, so they react to them quickly and predictably. And if you’re an angler who loves targeting sharks, Seal Blubber is a must-try bait — it’s one of their absolute favorites.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Repair Kits
[p][/p][p]Even the strongest gear can only take so much when the North decides to test you. Long fights, heavy tension, and deep-water pressure will wear down any setup eventually — no matter how well it’s built. To make sure your gear stays with you through every battle, we’re introducing a new feature: Repair Kits. [/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]These kits are a special set of tools that let you fix your equipment right on the waterway, without returning to the Global Map or having to unequip your setup — even during Competitions, Tournaments, or Fishing Together sessions. And for Premium SE series items, you can repair them even after they’ve been fully broken.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]Just take a few Repair Kits with you on your trip, and you’ll be able to fix any item in your Inventory with a single click whenever needed. If you happen to run out, you can always buy more right away in the Services tab of the Shop.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]One more quality-of-life improvement many players have been waiting for is now here: after this update, you’ll be able to repair items without equipping them from your Character or from the setups in your slots. When you're on the Globe and need to repair an item, simply click the Wrench icon next to it and confirm the repair — everything will be done in a second, and your items will remain exactly where they were.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Valkyrie Fishing Boat
[p][/p][p]To make your time at sea even more productive, Valkyrie boat now features three rod holders per angler, allowing all four players on board to fish with multiple rods at once. This significantly increases how much you can catch within the same amount of time. Just like on the Chamaeleon Catamaran, Valkyrie’s rod holders are fully adjustable — you can tilt them up or down and rotate them left or right to position each rod exactly the way you want.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Your catch will now stay fresh much longer thanks to the brand-new, fish-friendly refrigerated storage system. It preserves the quality of every fish you keep, increasing its selling value. When you’re fishing from the Valkyrie and using its top-tier refrigerated storage, you’ll receive a substantial bonus of plus 20% Credits and 20% XP for every fish you land. And with the ability to use four rods at once, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can level up.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Something we’ve already mentioned in our previous DevDiary, and our personal favorite feature of this boat, is the new heavy-fish crane, which takes the Photomode experience to a whole new level. Once your catch exceeds a certain weight, you’ll be able to use the crane to lift it aboard and capture stunning photos of the giants you’ve landed. And the best part is that you don't necessarily have to be the owner of the boat - all the guests in the Fishing Together sessions can use it for their big catches as well.[/p][p][/p]

[p]Another cool feature of this boat, especially useful for Norway's location, is that it stays stable and doesn’t lose speed in Rough Water Zones. And with the way Valkyrie can break ice and cut through high waves, we’re confidently moving through all development obstacles toward releasing Skårland Fjord in Fishing Planet. Stay tuned — the release is coming very soon.[/p][p][/p][p]Tight lines![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]___________________________________________________________________[/p][p]Check out other DevDiaries about Norway: [/p][p]DevDiary: Into the North - Discovering Skårland Fjord[/p][p]DevDiary: Lords of The Fjords[/p][p][/p][p]Follow us on social media to stay tuned and be in touch with our lovely community:[/p][p]Discord[/p][p]Facebook Group - join our Fishing Planet Advent Calendar with giveaways every other day until Christmas![/p][p][/p][p]You are always welcome to ask for help in our support:[/p][p][email protected][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]*All visual content in this DevDiary is crafted to showcase the upcoming features; however, there may be slight differences upon the actual release of the update[/p]
