End-of-Year Updates: Wobble Squabble, BattleBall, and More

[h2]End-of-Year Updates: Wobble Squabble, BattleBall, and More[/h2] We’ve been doing a bit of housekeeping behind the scenes as we wrap up the year, starting with Wobble Squabble. Some players ran into rare edge cases where a match could trigger client-side errors mid-game. Not great timing, and definitely not the kind of wobble anyone signed up for. These issues have now been fixed, and Wobble Squabble should run far more reliably going forward. There are no rule changes or balance tweaks here, just stability improvements where they were needed. Alongside this, we’re introducing three new BattleBall event modes. These modes will appear as rotating, hour-long events via the Casual Lobby, each bringing a bold twist to the classic BattleBall formula:
  • BattleBall: Lightcycle - Jump in and carve trails across the arena, but cross the wrong line and you’re done!
  • BattleBall: Closing In - Stay inside the shrinking zone and hold your ground as the arena closes in around you.
  • BattleBall: Crosscut - Dodge sweeping energy beams and fight for fresh ground as the arena keeps resetting.
Each event takes over the lobby for a limited time before rotating out, keeping BattleBall fast, unpredictable, and worth jumping back into whenever it lights up. [h2]Other bug fixes & improvements[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue causing Wobble Squabble to trigger rare client-side script errors during matches
  • Fixed an issue causing Arctic fishing holes to spawn fish too quickly
  • Fixed a bug that guaranteed a fish spawn on first interaction with Arctic fishing holes
  • Arctic fishing holes now animate when fish are available and show calm water when empty
  • Fixed several fishing-related animation issues in public rooms
  • Fixed a bug where catching a Golden Fish would not display it on your fishing rod
  • Fixed issues with Launch Pad furni, including incorrect flight arcs
  • Fixed a bug that incorrectly required room rights to use the Key Pedestal
  • Updated Pushable Crates so they can move through open doorways
  • Fixed an issue preventing the Empty Neopets Brush Display from being placed
  • Fixed visual display issues affecting the Pumpkin Badge
  • Fixed a small transparency issue on Santa’s Jingle Judgment
  • Added missing localisations for several furni items released during the Grunge campaign
  • Added backend support for the Wheel of Fortune (not live yet)
