Dead by Daylight just got the only collab I'll ever care about

Dead by Daylight has certainly had some star-studded collabs. First there was Nicholas Cage, then the Slipknot and Iron Maiden cosmetics, followed of course by the addition of Lara Croft, played by Captain America's Hayley Atwell herself. But all of those have faded into the background in seconds, as Behavior has just revealed that it's collaborating with two of my favorite people ever. This is the only DBD crossover I ever needed - ask our site editor, Cameron who just saw me freak out live on a call, I'm sure he'll verify.

Overwhelmingly popular new DBD game mode gets a surprise extension

Who would've thought that the simple act of doubling the amount of killers and survivors in a Dead by Daylight match would prove such a hit? Well, obviously developer Behaviour Interactive did, otherwise it wouldn't have spent so much time and effort implementing it. The 2v8 mode has taken the game by storm in the two weeks it's been running and now, just before it was meant to end, a sudden extension has dropped out of nowhere.

2v8 Game Mode Extension

We’ve been blown away by your reaction to 2v8 these past two weeks, and we’ve heard your demand loud and clear for the mode to be extended beyond its planned end date. We are happy today to share that we will extend 2v8’s initial run until next week, August 15 @ 11am ET.
We've also heard demands for 2v8 to stay permanently and while we love the enthusiasm, this is only the first iteration of which we expect more. While Killer queues will always be a challenge in this mode, matchmaking wait times can be iteratively reduced through more Killer variety and a more compelling Survivor experience.
We’ll wrap things up with a deep dive into the results after 2v8 is over but wanted to share this, which informed our decision to extend: 2v8 has proven to be very popular despite the queue times, accounting for over 40% of all matches since its release, even after removing the extra BP incentive.

DBD and Castlevania crossover brings Dracula and a Belmont to the game

The news that Castlevania is coming to Dead by Daylight has been known for quite a while, but other than a few teasers there's been little in the way of concrete details. Somehow, developer Behaviour Interactive has managed to keep everything under its hat, with fans having no idea who - or what - will be arriving in the fog. Now, thanks to the game's public test build, we know exactly who's coming to dinner and it means DBD has its first vampire killer.
