The most mid DBD killer is suddenly the absolute best

Being a chainsaw-wielding killer in Dead by Daylight might sound like fun but for the longest time The Hillbilly had the short end of the stick. He'd have to aim his chainsaw incredibly carefully, manage heat levels at all times, and even when everything seemed right he'd bounce off a stray bit of terrain, interrupting his charge. That's why despite being one of the free killers everyone who owns the game has access to, he was one of the least picked killers in the game.

Kicking things off, we wanted to take a look back at The Hillbilly’s recent update and see how it has affected his strength and popularity. We’ve seen a substantial increase in both his use rate and kill rate across all MMRs.

This update skyrocketed The Hillbilly to the top of the list of most popular Killers. The Deathslinger also saw a noticeable bump after being featured in Tome challenges.

Have you ever thought about how many skill checks are hit or missed? It turns out that 70% of all skill checks are good, 23% are great, while 7% are missed entirely. Among high MMR players, this becomes 63% good, 33% great, and 4% missed.

If you’re curious, we also gathered data on which Perks cause Survivors to miss the most skill checks!

It has been nearly 5 years since the End Game Collapse was introduced. Since then, it has activated almost a billion times.

For those who find themselves on the hook at the end of the match: The outlook is not very good. Nearly twice as many Survivors die at the end of the match than are saved.

Dead by Daylight has, since it first came out all the way back in 2016, remained one of the most popular multiplayer games on PC. This is largely due to the fact that its maker, Behaviour Interactive, has never stopped iterating on and adding to their project, setting DBD apart from other asymmetric horror games like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Outlast Trials with a constant stream of new killers and survivors, many pulled from famous horror movies and games. All of this work has meant that DBD also has an enormous in game store associated with all of these additions, which, we've learned today, is about to receive a substantial overhaul.

Since the dawn of Dead by Daylight, there's only ever been one killer who's truly scared me: The Nurse. That ominous screeching, the appearing out of nowhere: Sally Smithson is a force to be reckoned with, and one that I still haven't quite managed to figure out. But there's a change in The Fog; a new killer has emerged as top dog - and it's the horror game's least-played menace.
