Dead By Daylight to get more LGBTQ+ representation beyond David King

If you're hooked on Dead By Daylight, you'll be pleased to know that Behaviour Interactive has just revealed its plans for the start of the next year of content for the asymmetrical horror game - including a look at the terrifying new Dead By Daylight killer. However, one of the most important comments on upcoming content was made during a press conference ahead of the Dead By Daylight 6th Anniversary stream. Speaking to the media, creative director David Richard confirmed that David King is only the start of Behaviour Interactive's increasing LGBTQ+ representation in Dead By Daylight.

When asked a question on whether Behaviour Interactive was satisfied with the reaction to David King's narrative development in Tome 11, which focuses on the character coming to accept his own homosexuality, and whether fans can look forward to seeing more LGBTQ+ characters in-game, Richard responded with the following:

" Absolutely. I am super pleased - and I know a lot of people on the team are as well - about the reaction of our community to David King. We've seen David King utilised even more than before, and he was already a very popular character."

Dead by Daylight announces second Resident Evil chapter and Attack on Titan crossover

I didn’t expect to be putting Resident Evil and Attack on Titan in the same headline this morning, but Behaviour Interactive clearly know their audience. Last night, during Dead by Daylight’s sixth anniversary broadcast, BHVR revealed that players can expect to see a second Resident Evil chapter, an Attack on Titan crossover, and a Dead by Daylight-inspired dating sim.

During celebrations of the fifth anniversary, the first Resident Evil chapter for Dead by Daylight launched. With it came legends of horror, Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine as survivors, and Nemesis as a killer. However, the map that came as a part of the chapter, Raccoon City Police Department, came with various issues and was not available for a while after launch.

Considering the overall success of the chapter, with Dead by Daylight reaching its highest player count during the chapter’s launch, it comes as no surprise that we’re going to soon be seeing more faces from Resident Evil. This is the first time that Behaviour Interactive have introduced two chapters from the same franchise, and this time around, the chapter will be called ‘Project W’.

A Dead by Daylight dating sim is coming this summer

There's no easy way to say this, so we just will: a Dead by Daylight dating simulator is coming to Steam this summer. As hinted by a trademark application earlier this year, it's called Hooked on You (because of course it is), and it features four of the multiplayer horror game's loathsome killers as the potential objects of your affection. They still may decide to kill you, of course.

Hooked on You swaps out Dead by Daylight's dark and oppressive colour palette for a bright, tropical setting and hand-drawn art style. The killers include the Trapper, the Huntress, the Wraith, and the Spirit, who've all gotten into swimwear for a nice beach vacation (we note with some dismay that the Trapper and the Wraith have neglected to take a shower, however).

"Flirt your way into their hearts, uncovering dark twists along the way," the official website reads. "Will you find true love, forge friendships... or get hacked to death? Only you can decide." You'll do that by navigating various conversations with the killer of your dreams, which will encourage the murderous mutants to "shed their inhibitions" and "unlock deeply intimate sides of their personalities."
