It’s been a long road from the Itch prototype to here, with the demo ready to escape and the full game almost finished, ahead of its November launch. To celebrate your continued survival employment, we partnered with the very brilliant PC Gaming Show: Tokyo Direct to reveal a few things. Those who tuned in got to see the world first gameplay trailer which revealed a new spider type, announced our upcoming Steam demo AND our launch date. For those who missed it, here’s the trailer;[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Orb Weaver - the game may be called Huntsman, but Atherton Labs has far grander ambitions than just one spider type can accommodate. The Experimental Biosolutions Division has been busy working on multiple arachnids, and the Orb Weaver is our latest reveal. Favouring dark corners and high locations, these aerial assassins will snatch prey from the ceilings and cocoon them in webs for later digestion. Be vigilant, move fast and stay alive.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Demo - yes, we’ve got a new build available next month. On October 13th, we’ll be sharing the first demo of Huntsman since it moved from Itch project to full blown development this year. While we don’t want to give too much away, we can confirm this contains the opening area of the game, encounters with multiple huntsman and orb weaver spiders and several early puzzles to navigate. While we don’t want to give an exact date yet (mostly so we can scope out the competition and find the best date possible) we are launching that month, with the full game. [p]Welcome friends, to the first of many updates about the mysteries within Atherton Labs, the setting for our fear-inducing tale of webbed wonder; Huntsman. [/p][p][/p][p]Some of you may be aware of the game from our breakout success on Itch, where our demo exploded and was covered by major content creators, which we are still blown away by. But however you found us, we want to share that we’re now in full production on the game with an exciting journey ahead of us, and we’re ready to shout about Huntsman, starting with a huge thank you to our community.[/p][p][/p][p]So what is Huntsman? It’s billed as ‘a survival horror that will immerse you in the creeping dread and crawling terror of arachnophobia’ and by this we mean ‘a massive spider will chase you around a shadowy series of locations until you are too afraid to sleep with the lights off’. It’s got thrills, chills, spills and spider(s)...but more on that later.
