Early Access Update
Greetings, beloved drones employees!
[p][/p][p]Some of you may have noticed that our original roadmap indicated an Early Access release in Q4 of 2025. You may also have noticed that this release has not yet occurred. Fear not, as we, your amazing revered powerful humble overseers at Corporate, are here to provide an update![/p][p][/p][p]While you may be disappointed to learn that you can’t play GameShop Simulator - yet - you will be delighted to hear that this is entirely because we’ve been hard at work improving and expanding the game far beyond its original scope. In other words, we’ve applied the same philosophy we expect from all of our minions workers, and are truly giving it 110%.
[/p][p]Here’s just a few of the new and improved features we’re packing into our upcoming Early Access launch:[/p]
Bartering and Repairs
[p][/p][carousel]![]()
[/carousel][p]Why buy items at full price to make meager margins, when you can pay much less for a used copy and reap greater profits? Visitors to your store will now be able to sell you their used games and consoles, which can be carefully repackaged and sold good-as-new. Of course, no product survives contact with the enemy customer, so you’ll need to make sure they’re in top working condition before putting them on the shelf.
[/p]
Reservations and Midnight Releases
[p][/p][carousel]![]()
[/carousel][p]What’s better than selling someone a new game? Selling them a new game that hasn’t even been released yet! Customers will now ask to reserve copies of highly-anticipated upcoming titles - both in-person and over the phone - to be purchased at an illustrious Midnight Release event. Just be careful how many copies you order; the last thing any enterprising franchisee wants is unsold stock cluttering up their shelves.[/p][p][/p]
Upgraded Electrical System
[p][/p][carousel]![]()
[/carousel][p]Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we’ve implemented a fuse box to help you keep the lights on and registers running even in the face of electrical disruptions. Each room is on a separate circuit, so take care to keep them all operational… or decide if that lavish breakroom we’ve provided you with is necessary after all.
[/p]
Expanded Difficulty Scaling
[p][/p][carousel]![]()
[/carousel][p]We’re excited to share that we’ll be providing you with the option for every employee’s dream: even more work. You’ll be able to adjust the difficulty of running your shop to suit your own playstyle, with additional scaling based on their number of staff. Whether you’d like to run a cozy, single-player boutique or a full-fledged multiplayer hellhole emporium, you’ll be able to enjoy the virtues of retail life as you see fit.[/p][p][/p]
Food & Drink
[p][/p][carousel]![]()
