Dev Update: Procedural Maps Are Here!

[p]Hey everyone![/p][p]Quick development update from behind the scenes of The Merchant’s Eden. I’ve just finished implementing the first version of the procedural map generation![/p][p]This has been one of the bigger features I’ve been working toward, and I’m really excited with how it’s turning out. Every time you start a new game now, you’ll get a completely fresh world to build in. No two runs will look the same.[/p][p][/p]
What’s New?
[p]Here’s a quick rundown of what’s working now:[/p]
 • [p]New map every time: Each game starts in a procedurally generated world, offering a fresh experience every time.[/p]
 • [p]Different biomes: From dense forests to sun-scorched deserts, each biome brings its own atmosphere and gameplay mechanics.[/p]
 • [p]Seed system: If you find a map you love, you can share the seed or replay it later.[/p]
 • [p]Custom starting options: Choose your map size and starting conditions to match how you want to play.[/p]
[p]I wanted to make sure the game supports different play styles as well as moods. Whether you are into building cozy little towns or sprawling trade hubs you can now choose the world that fits best for you.[/p][p][/p]
Still in Progress
[p]There’s still a bunch left to do, but this was a big step forward in making the game feel more alive and replayable. I’ll keep sharing updates as things come together, so stay tuned if you’re interested in the development journey.[/p][p]And if you haven’t already, wishlist the game on Steam — it really helps![/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for following along 🙌 [/p][p]— Daniel[/p]
