【Announcement】TGS 2025 & Next Fest Commemorative Update!!

[p]To celebrate Tokyo Game Show 2025 and the October Steam Next Fest, the demo of RETRYS is getting a major update![/p][p]We’ve added and improved many elements, including character expressions, a new chase mode, new facilities, and fresh events.[/p][p]I’ve been updating non-stop this past month—totally exhausted 😁[/p][p]Here are the full details of the update!![/p][hr][/hr][h3]🆕 New Features & Gameplay[/h3]
  • [p]Added a Chase Mode: when discovered by enemies, thrilling pursuits begin![/p]
  • [p]Expanded situations where bug programs can be used (based on feedback).[/p]
  • [p]Added reactions when choosing the wrong bug program (based on feedback).[/p]
  • [p]Major renovation of the Cat Mansion (a lot of effort went in!).[/p]
  • [p]Added brand-new gameplay to the Castle Tower (really made me think!).[/p]
  • [p]Added a secret room under the tavern (what happens if you sleep in the bed…?).[/p]
  • [p]Added a jar specialty shop in town (hehe).[/p]
  • [p]Added the mansion of a wealthy noble, with a mysterious new character.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the route of the first farmer puzzle to include a light detour.[/p]

  • [p]Added eyes and mouths to character sprites (looks nice!).[/p]
  • [p]Added bug creature character art (what do you think?).[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the effect colors when defeating bugs (a bit more horror).[/p]
  • [p]Enhanced the cat search event in the Cat Mansion (with retro ’Showa’ references).[/p]
  • [p]Changed the Game Over screen.[/p]

  • [p]Adjusted event dialogue to better fit story and world (still improving!).[/p]
  • [p]Added an episode with a boy and his grandmother in town (slightly tear-jerking).[/p]
  • [p]Added dancers to the tavern (twirl, twirl!).[/p]
  • [p]Added hints in the inn (based on feedback).[/p]
  • [p]Added hints in the Lost Forest (based on feedback).[/p]

  • [p]Added glitch noise effects to maps with bug creatures (easier to notice).[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted message window size for better readability (a subtle but nice change).[/p]
  • [p]Changed map effect draw order to appear behind pictures (based on feedback).[/p]
  • [p]Improved review flow: now you can open the store page directly in your browser (please leave us a review—yoroshiku!).[/p]

  • [p]Fixed issues occurring in the Cat Mansion.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected missing images on the CRT monitor.[/p]
