MERRY CHRISTMAS + HAPPY HOLIDAYS + PATCH v1.04

[p]FIRSTLY thank you SO much for such a fun launch week, the support and positivity means so much to us. We're reading all the reviews, the threads, the comments and chatting to people in Discord, we're just happy you dig our silly game.[/p][p][/p][p]We've been hard at work on more fixes for you before we're a little less present for a few weeks, but we'll be back in the new year with plans for MORE DOGPILE STUFF!!! Excited to get stuck into it, excited to share it all with you.

From the Dogpile team, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays— hope you all get to kick it and relax with your loved ones. Eat, drink, be merry!

That's enough out of me, here are the deets of the patch that just went live.

v1.04b[/p]
  • [p]Added 'click to drag' buttons or "toggle to pickup" buttons for controller. Right bumper and west face button, when pressed once will pick up a card, press again to drop a card.[/p]
  • [p]Removed Pedigree from Exceptional Dogpiler Achievement (Pedigree isn't intended to necessarily be super balanced, but we've heard your feedback and are making a few light adjustments)[/p]
  • [p]Pedigree deck now draws 3 cards every hand (instead of 1 at a time)[/p]
  • [p]Pedigree now does not have difficulty selection (Clever is redundant, Turbo is likely legitimately impossible)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash with the Obedience Tag[/p]
  • [p]Obedience Tag now shows current discount on its Tooltip[/p]
  • [p]Tennis Ball Tag now shows current lifetime in the tooltip and is now tracked correctly between saves[/p]
  • [p]Specialist Tag will now show the targeted trait in the shop, BEFORE you buy it[/p]
  • [p]Glossary will now reveal cards you have 'seen', instead of only cards you have played[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a few issues with the Yard peek "Eyeball" disappearing[/p]
  • [p]Money and Bones UI now accounts for BILLIONS (that was fast, you broke our game)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some temporary cards repositioning when you alt tab[/p]
  • [p]Shop discounts now apply to Trainer Cards (Applies to Obedience and Games as a Service)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with save files crashing if you loaded them after exiting a previous match[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a missing image on an ace card in the Pauper deck[/p]
  • [p]Stopped the Settle Down Tag from functioning behind the Pet Shop and other similar UI takeovers[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Timid wasn't correctly repelling Dogs[/p]
  • [p]Fixed UI Collar changing when you scroll with right stick[/p]
[p][/p][p]P.S Our friends at Massive Monster (any Lamb heads here???) got us a Dogpile cake for launch[/p][p]
[/p]

Little Weekend Hotfix Patch — v1.03b

[p]Hello!

Hope you're all well, thank you so much for a huge few days. We're stoked that so many of you have found our game and are digging it, and thank you so much to everyone who have submitted bug reports, shared feedback and given us a nice review- it genuinely helps us out massively. We're just a small team and we need all the support we can get.

Feel free to join the Dogpile Discord to share pictures of your dog AND/OR cool Tag combos, sick wins etc. Would love to chat to you all about what we should be working on next >:)
[/p][p]We've cooked up a few little fixes and changes so here they are[/p]
  • [p]Lowered some of the later bone goals on Chill mode. Hopefully this takes a bit of the hardcore edge off the later game.[/p]
  • [p]There's a bug where cards can get stuck on screen in an unplayable state, we're not 100% sure of all the reasons this occurs, but now pressing escape/start will reset UI interaction, which will solve this weird state. We will have a more comprehensive fix for this issue later!![/p]
  • [p]The "Continue" function has been a little unruly, we've added numerous improvements to this system in this patch, thank you for your patience if you encounter any weirdness with it for the time being.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where decks were not reliably unlocking even when players met the criteria[/p]
  • [p]Added info to the deck choice screen about unlocking decks, and how to win a game[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some performance issues with Friendly and Timid, your machines won't chug AS hard when you have 50 dogs with Timid / Friendly[/p]
  • [p]Updated Rock Description (the wording implied that certain tags would DROP a rock into your Yard when they didn't)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the Stuck Inside Discipline Card "Complete the next Goal or Lose the game" (it was just ending games even if you completed the Goal, we are very sorry.)[/p]
[p][/p][p]Happy Piling!![/p]

Dog merging roguelike deckbuilder Dogpile is out now and it's wonderful

Dogpile was one of my absolute favourites during Steam Next Fest in October, and as a surprise it released yesterday.

Match delightfully silly, hand-drawn dogs in Dogpile, a roguelike deckbuilder take on Suika Game

With trends and trendy games passing by these days, I'd understand if you'd already forgotten about Suika Game. I am not here to remind you of its existence to talk about it, more so use it as genre context for Dogpile, a new game that is essentially the question "what if Suika Game actually had a bunch of dogs and was also a roguelike deckbuilder?" I know, I know, there are too many of those already, but this one's just so charming!
