Skyblivion might have bagged more headlines, but it's far from the only ambitious modding project being worked on for a Bethesda game with the goal of putting a fresh spin on a classic. Fallout 4: Project Arroyo arguably has an even tougher task, with its team aiming to reimagine the turn-based and isometric Fallout 2 through Fallout 4's 3D action lens.

In a fresh interview with YouTuber AVV Gaming that also sheds light on how the team are hoping to incorporate aspects of an original Fallout remake mod that was mothballed last year, Project Arroyo lead Damion Daponte has discussed how they've approached the difficult task of deciding how much to tweak as they reinterpret the 90s RPG.

Hey, remember Project Arroyo? It's one of the many cool Fallout modding projects in the works right now, with the goal of remaking Fallout 2 in Fallout 4's engine, and while it still doesn't have a concrete release date, its devs have just put out something cool. It's the mod's version of the classic Pip-Boy 2000, and it's defintely worth grabbing if you love some old-school Fallout.

The Fallout show on Prime is finally here. Fallout 5 is still a speck in the distance as developer Bethesda Games Studios focuses on post-launch Starfield content and development of The Elder Scrolls 6. However, the retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic series is back in the spotlight with an all-new tale in the form of an Amazon Prime show from Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. Ahead of its debut, I attended a special press screening for PCGamesN in London, where I watched the first two episodes of the new series. While my initial impression is that it's far from perfect, I found it to capture the essence of the games remarkably well.
