Devlog #06 | New Enemies, Performance Improvements & Balance Update

Meet our new enemy..again!![/h2][p][/p][p]🌳Forest Mouse:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Looks cute, but rushes straight at adventurers and bites them up![/p][p]🟠Hopper Slime:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This bouncy little creature sneaks up on you and suddenly jumps on your head![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]🌍2. Performance Improved[/h2][p]We’ve adjusted the lighting for Stage 2.[/p][p]Stage 2 content will be coming in a future update.[/p][p][/p][p]A more mysterious atmosphere will bring a better gameplay experience. 🪄[/p][p][/p][h2]⚔️3. Game balance[/h2][p]We’re still adjusting weapon parameters to support a wider variety of builds and playstyles.[/p][p]Thank you very much for all the feedback so far!

UI & Character Update: Character Progression & Combat UI

[p]⚔️ Greetings, adventurers![/p][p]Thank you all for your continued support of BitHero Survivors. Over the past weeks, we’ve shared multiple development logs—and the features introduced there are be implemented in the Demo. This post serves as a summary of this update.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]🔍 Update Highlights[/h3][p]Our recent development has focused on clear progression feedback and better information visibility:[/p]
  • [p]New UI elements displaying:[/p]
    • [p]Types and number of enemies defeated[/p]
    • [p]Number of treasure chests opened[/p]
    • [p]A clear overview of current character upgrades[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Introduction of a Character Level & Permanent Progression system[/p]
    • [p]Each character now has an independent level[/p]
    • [p]Longer survival and more enemy defeats grant more character EXP[/p]
    • [p]EXP is calculated after each run[/p]
    • [p]Characters level up automatically and gain permanent stat bonuses[/p][p][/p]
[p]These changes aim to make progression easier to understand and to establish a solid foundation for future systems.[/p][hr][/hr][p]🔧 Other updates:[/p]

Devlog #04 | Character Levels & Stats Growing

[p]⚔️ Greetings, adventurers![/p][p]Thank you all for your continued support and for playing BitHero Survivors.
Today, we’d like to share a new progression system we’ve been working on: Character Levels.[/p][p]Each character now has their own independent level.[/p][p]During a run, the longer you survive and the more enemies you defeat, the more character experience you earn.[/p][p]At the end of a run, your performance is evaluated and the earned experience is added to that character.
Once enough experience is accumulated, the character levels up automatically.[/p][p][/p][p]As characters level up, they receive permanent stat improvements, allowing them to grow stronger over time and develop their own long-term identity.[/p][p][/p][p]This system is designed to:[/p]
  • [p]Reward skilled and long-lasting runs[/p]
  • [p]Give each character a sense of progression beyond a single playthrough[/p]
  • [p]Lay the groundwork for more character-specific mechanics in the future[/p]

Devlog #03 | Visualizing Enemies Defeated & Treasure Chest Counters

[p]⚔️ Greetings, adventurers![/p][p]Thank you all for your continued support and for trying out BitHero Survivors!
We’ve been steadily improving the game, and today we’d like to share another development update.[/p][p]This time, we’ve expanded the in-game UI to better visualize your run progress.
The new UI can now display:[/p]
  • [p]The types of enemies you’ve defeated[/p]
  • [p]Your total kill count[/p]
  • [p]The number of treasure chests opened[/p]
[p]These additions allow players to clearly track their performance during a run, while also giving us a solid foundation for future systems and gameplay mechanics.[/p][p]Here’s how it looks in Unity:[/p]
  • [p]Current run with enemy types and counters visible[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Progressed state after defeating more enemies and opening chests[/p][p][/p]
