New patch available

[p]A new patch is now available, focused on improving camera smoothness, usability, and stability, along with fixes for merchant inventory issues and several smaller script problems. Full details are below.[/p][p][/p][p]Changelog:[/p][p][/p][p]Changes[/p]
  • [p]Camera movement now always updates internally at 60 FPS, regardless of gameplay framerate. This results in smoother movement and ensures camera speed settings accurately reflect actual scrolling speed.[/p]
  • [p]Mouse acceleration is now disabled by default. The default game speed has been set to 2 to better match the updated camera movement. If mouse acceleration is enabled in your settings, we recommend turning it off.[/p]
[p]Additions[/p]
  • [p]Added an option to enable WASD camera movement in the game options menu (Extra tab, enabled by default).[/p]
  • [p]Added an option to highlight containers while holding TAB, making objects such as chests and barrels easier to spot (Extra tab, enabled by default).[/p]
[p]Fixes[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a potential crash that could occur when Python 3 is installed on the system under specific circumstances.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where merchants would not refresh their inventory properly. Please note that some merchants restock only after 1–7 in-game days, depending on the merchant.[/p]
  • [p]Various minor script fixes.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Important![/p][p][/p][p]While this patch fixes the issue with empty or non-refreshing merchants, there is still a chance that a merchant in an existing save file may be corrupted.[/p][p][/p][p]If this happens, the merchant inventory scripts can be reset to restore proper functionality. This only affects shop inventories, no other data is reset, and story progress remains unchanged.[/p][p][/p][p]Any new merchants (those the player has not yet spoken to or interacted with) will not require this workaround.[/p][p][/p][p]How to reset merchant inventories[/p]
  1. [p]Leave the area containing the affected merchant.[/p]
  2. [p]Open the game console by pressing SHIFT + ~ (tilde) or ALT + 1.[/p]
  3. [p]Enter the following command and confirm by pressing Enter (or > in the console UI): "reset_inventory_item_shops()"[/p]
  4. [p]Re-enter the area and talk to the previously affected merchant.[/p]
  5. [p]Merchant restocking should now work correctly. To speed up restocking, you can wait 7 in-game days using the Rest function.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Have fun![/p]

Fallout creator's 22-year old D&D game is finally on Steam, and its re-release fixes all of its biggest issues

The Temple of Elemental Evil has long been a bit of an ugly duckling when it comes to Troika's DnD game adaptations. Both Arcanum and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines are considered must-plays for TTRPG enjoyers. However, despite being grounded in the iconic world of Greyhawk and having had its development led by Fallout creator Tim Cain, ToEE never reached the same echelon of cult hit status.

Fallout creator's beloved DnD game is coming to Steam 22 years after launch

In my latest Dungeons and Dragons campaign, I play the most annoying Bard you've ever imagined. No, even more annoying than that. I craft parody songs based on each session and bring my actual guitar out at regular intervals. I'm that guy in the pub who everyone hates. But then the mouth of my theatrical mask contorts into a foul visage, I unleash an Eldritch Blast from the cavernous maw, and everyone forgives me. These are the kinds of stories you can only tell in DnD, and we'll get a chance to relive another classic adventure in September, thanks to the game preservation wizards at SNEG.
