PlayStation 2 hack-and-slash The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is a mainstay of the ports being begged for on the GOG dreamlist (though it doesn't rank as high as bona fide classics like Silent Hill and The Simpsons: Hit & Run, of course). According to my memories of 2004 it deserves the nomination, because The Two Towers let you recreate the battle of Helm's Deep and that's always amazing whether you're modding it into Left 4 Dead 2 or playing Lego Lord of the Rings...

Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone Re-release Changelog

[p]Hello all D&D and action RPG fans![/p][p][/p][p]Today we’re re-releasing the original Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone for modern PCs. This is a faithful version of the 2004 game with technical updates so it runs smoothly in 2025. Just to clarify, this is not a remaster; gameplay, balance, art, and story are unchanged. We’ve focused on compatibility and quality-of-life fixes.[/p][p][/p][p]Here is the changelog: [/p][p][/p][p]General[/p]
  • [p]Fixed multiple slowdowns in game and during startup[/p]
  • [p]Fixed broken in game clock[/p]
  • [p]Framerate locked to 30 FPS as per game design[/p]
  • [p]Fixed game losing control during movie playback[/p]
  • [p]Game can now run standalone, configuration launcher is no longer needed to play the game[/p]

  • [p]3D and 2D properly scale to any aspect ratio[/p]
  • [p]Optimized shadows performance[/p]
  • [p]2D rendering now uses linear filtering[/p]
  • [p]Added borderless and windowed display modes[/p]

20 years later, DnD classics Demon Stone and Dragonshard are getting upgraded Steam releases

Game publisher SNEG recently announced Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard and Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone are coming to Steam with plenty of upgrades.
