Preliminary information on the Crossout update 0.12.60 “Spring Mayhem”

Hello, survivors!
It’s time to learn what changes and new features await us in the next update. But, before we begin, we remind you that:
All the new features described here are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.
Spring mayhem
May in Crossout would not be May if it did not have the traditional “Spring mayhem”! But we don’t forget about the improvements and updating of this mode, and some of the changes are based directly on your feedback and wishes. What awaits us this time?
First of all, we updated and improved the vehicles for battles. Let us list the main points:
- The “Scout” car is again equipped with the “Joule” autocannons, modified to the gameplay realities of the brawl.
- Improved the “Mortarman” blueprint: now it’s more vulnerable due to fragile ammo boxes.
- The “Cannoneer” class returns to the brawl and replaces “Arsonist”. The “Mandrakes” installed on this car now shoot single shells. You may shoot each weapon twice, before it starts to reload. Howitzer shells hit the exact center of the area selected during aiming.
For progressing in the leagues, you can get a unique logo and a memorable decor for the range. Both logo and decoration will be changing their appearance depending on your current league. Also, as usual, a higher league will bring you more scrap metal.
Part upgrades and prestige levels
In this update, we also plan to rework the reward for prestige levels with factions, making it more useful and relevant to the needs of high-level players.
Instead of the current “Veteran container”, you will receive a new container from which you can get one of the new “upgrade stabilizers” or in-game coins. What are these stabilizers?
These are special consumables that will allow you to block one or more bonuses that you don’t want to lose when upgrading the part again. Here is an example:
You upgrade the “Spectre-2” machine gun and get three bonuses:
- Durability +10%
- Damage +5%
- Aim speed +15%
You want to get a “range of fire +15%” as the last bonus, but you’re afraid to lose the previous two. With stabilizers, it will be possible! You will be able to use two “epic” stabilizers and block damage and durability bonuses. As a result, if you upgrade the part again, only the bonus from the last group will change.
Stabilizers will be obtainable not only from a special container. You will also be able to craft a stabilizer of a certain rarity from several ones of previous rarities.
But what about those who have a high prestige level and have received many “Veteran containers”?
In one of the following updates (not in 0.12.60, but in subsequent updates) you will be able to exchange non-tradable parts for stabilizers. We will additionally announce the details of the exchange and when such an opportunity becomes available.
Balance changes

Rare parts
Autocannon “AC43 Rapier”
Maximum spread increased by 10%.
Comment: Current statistics and a number of tests show that the autocannon is extremely effective in battles at low PS rates. Since shooting with the “fire” key held down is popular among new players at low PS frames, we increase the maximum spread. This change will have almost no effect on experienced players who shoot by repeatedly clicking on the “fire” button.
Shotgun “Sledgehammer”
Durability reduced by 10%.
Comment: Sledgehammer is a good example of the case when decent damage and durability parameters (for its rarity) and a small model can make the weapon extremely effective. We slightly reduce the durability of the shotgun so that it matches the model of the weapon, and so that the increase in the durability of the weapons depending on the rarity was more gradual.
Cannon “Little Boy 6LB”
- Minimum spread in motion increased by 50%.
- Aiming speed reduced by 25%.
Rocket launcher “Wasp”
Impulse from rocket explosion reduced by 25%.
Comment: In battles at low and close to low PS frames, the impulse from the rocket explosion is extremely strong and sometimes leaves no chance for light vehicles.
Epic parts
Mechanical leg “ML 200”
Explosive damage resistance increased by 25%.
Comment: Their relatively slow speed should be compensated for by excellent survivability, but in the case of the “ML 200”, the legs were too vulnerable to explosive damage.
Mechanical leg “Bigram”
Now the maximum bonus from the perk is 30%, instead of 50%.
Comment: As for “Bigrams”, these legs are one of the most effective chassis in battles at high PS frames and clan battles. Their perk works perfectly in conjunction with many weapons, which is confirmed by both statistics and tests in the conditions of real battles. Reducing the maximum bonus will reduce their excessive efficiency relative to other chassis.
Hovers “Icarus IV” and “Icarus VII”
Increased the chassis’ inertia.
Comment: The inertia change will increase the dependence on the player’s skills: you will need to calculate your moves ahead more often.
Legendary parts
Pulse cannon “Kaiju”
- Damage from a single hit is increased by 20%.
- Burst length reduced by 20%.
Other changes
In the next update, we will fix a number of known bugs and make the necessary interface changes, improve some models of parts for a number of maps from the current rotation. And the updated opponents of the “Scavengers” faction will appear in raids!
See you in the update 0.12.60!
Attention! The news is a preliminary announcement. The work on the following changes is still in progress. The changes are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not be implemented into the game at all.
