We want to thank everyone for playing the demo during Steam Next Fest! Your support, feedback, and funny screenshots have been amazing! 💚

To make things easier for new (and returning!) players, we’ve prepared a FAQ answering the most common questions you’ve been asking!





💬What is Cut The Grass?
✅Cut The Grass is a unique survival game that mixes peaceful daytime farming with intense nighttime combat.
During the day you mow grass, collect resources, and upgrade your base - but when night falls, monsters attack and you must defend your farm to survive!

💬What’s in the Demo?
✅In the demo, you can:
-Defend your farm from waves of enemies
-Explore and gather resources during the day
-Try a few starter weapons and buildings and unlock upgrades
-Play solo or co-op with up to 4 players online
-Coordinate, share resources, and fight together to survive longer

💬How many maps?
✅The demo features one main map and the tutorial map.

💬What are the controls? (Default Keyboard Layout)
🧭 Movement: WASD
🖱️ Aim / Attack: Mouse (Left click to attack)
🗡️ Switch Weapon / Tool: 1–3
⛏️ Interact / Collect / Build: E
🏃 Sprint: Shift
🏃 Jump: SPACE
🧍‍♂️DROP weapon: Q
🔄 Reload (if applicable): R
⏸️ Pause / Menu: Esc

💬 Can I play solo?
✅Yes! You can play solo and see how long you can survive. But beware - surviving alone is way harder!
Invite your friends and team up for better chances (and more fun)!

💬 How does Co-op work?
✅Up to 4 players can play together online.
You can host or join a lobby.
Work together to defend the farm, share loot, and coordinate your upgrades.
Communication and teamwork are key!

💬What can I build or upgrade?
✅You can use collected resources to:
Build defenses like barricades or turrets
Sell resources to obtain money
Upgrade your character

💬What happens when I lose?
✅When gold piggy bank at the center of farm is destroyed - all players lose!
Your total number of days survived will appear in the main menu.
That’s the number to use for your contest submission !

💬 Any tips for new players?
✅Don’t waste time during the day - gather as many resources as possible before night falls.
Stick together at night - monsters are tougher when you split up.
Buy at least one rifle early!
Keep moving and watch your surroundings - tall grass can hide both loot and danger.

This time, we want to dive a bit deeper into one of the most entertaining parts of Cut The Grass: collecting the weird and wonderful things hidden in the grass and wheat fields.





When you swing your scythe, you never know what you’ll uncover. Sometimes it’s something ordinary… sometimes it’s something completely bizarre. Old boots, rusty kettles, forgotten artifacts - random stuff with their own little backstory. Each item you collect has a purpose, because once the mowing’s done, it’s time to sell your finds for cash.






And if you’re really lucky, you might stumble upon something rare like TREASURES - shiny, valuable, and perfect for boosting your wallet.



Monster drops - sometimes the enemies you fight at night leave behind useful loot. Money for now but later stronger enemies will drop better artifacts.



Secret items - hidden deep in the grass, waiting for the sharp-eyed explorer to claim them.





Every swing of the scythe is a chance for surprise. Will it be junk? Will it be treasure? Only the lawn knows…

We’re back with another update from the overgrown fields of Cut The Grass!

Last time we teased you with enemies, bases, and mysterious landmarks. But today… we’re talking about something every survivor loves: spending money you don’t really have.




Out here in the tall grass, survival isn’t just about mowing fast and swinging hard. Sometimes, you need a little retail therapy. That’s where the shop comes in.

What can you get your hands on right now?

Ammo – mowing is fun, but mowing AND shooting is better.

Rifle – Loud, messy, and makes enemies regret their life choices.

Scythe – Stylish and deadly. Use it to cut the grass! Butit can also attack enemies!

Medkit – When “just walk it off” isn’t cutting it. Your "low HP friends" will love it!




Here’s the twist: your team shares one pool of cash.
That means no lone wolves buying guns while everyone else is stuck with scythes.
You’ll have to talk it out, argue, maybe bribe your friends, and figure out whether you want one person geared like Rambo… or everyone equally underprepared.

Starting funds won’t be enough to arm the whole squad with weapons, so… choose wisely. Ah and bought items appear ON THE SHELF, not in equipment. So you can steal somebody medkit or gun.




Right now, the shop’s shelves are a bit empty. But we’re working on more items, upgrades, and gear that’ll make your survival runs even more chaotic. Stay tuned for when the catalog expands!
