We held a Halloween/Autumn build event where we asked players to build custom levels in Ultimate Chicken Horse and submit them to us for a chance to be featured in-game!

We received over 100 level submissions in the last two weeks, which made it very difficult to pick just 15 of them! Thank you so much for participating. 🧡

[h2]Boo! It’s the spookiest month of the year! [/h2]


We want to feature your spooky Halloween/Autumn-themed custom levels in Ultimate Chicken Horse! So build and send us your custom levels, and we’ll pick 15 community creations to feature in the game.

Submit your levels to us by publishing your level and sharing the level code in the Steam comments by 11 PM PST on October 16. It can be a Party or Challenge level.

To make a custom level, go to the Treehouse lobby. Open the pause menu and click the arrows to change your game mode from "Party Mode" to "Free Play Mode". Then go to the underground area of the Treehouse and move to the left to the "Blank Level" section. Now you can make a level!

Need some inspiration? (These are only suggestions!)
- Halloween classics: Jack-o-lanterns/pumpkins, scarecrows, bones and skulls, night time, magic
- Beasts, monsters, and creatures: Ghosts, zombies, werewolves, vampires, mummies, witches, bats, cats
- Autumn/Fall: Thanksgiving, red leaves, cozy fires, camping, fireflies, warm drinks
- Delicious snacks: Candy, candy apples, chocolate, other sweets
- Locations: Graveyards, haunted houses, witch huts, dungeons
- Colours: Orange, black, white, purple, green
- Anything else you can come up with!

Hey party animals!

You can play Ultimate Chicken Horse for FREE from Sept 7-11! It's the best time to play if you need a game for a party night, just want to try it out, or want to introduce friends to it! Plus, we're running a big 55% off sale from Sept 7-14.


Ultimate Chicken Horse fully supports crossplay, so you can play with anyone who has it on console. Also, there's local play and online play, shared controller functionality, challenge mode, gameplay modifiers, a custom level builder, and community-made levels.

The Ultimate Chicken Horse Discord is the spot for new friends to play with, answers to your questions, bug support, and goofy discussions. We'd love to meet you. :)

[h3]How do I play for free?[/h3]
- Go to the Ultimate Chicken Horse store page.
- Click the "Play Game" button, which will download the game and add it to your Steam library.
- Find the game in your Steam library. You'll be able to play until the end of the free weekend (Sept 11 at 10AM PST)!

Hey party animals!

In this update, we're going to change how invite codes for players' lobbies work in Ultimate Chicken Horse.

[UPDATE] The lobby invite code changes are now LIVE!

Previously, your invite code would stay the same no matter what. In this update, you'll regenerate a new invite code every time you host a lobby, unless you save your invite code so that it stays the same between games.

[h3]How do you SAVE your lobby invite code? [/h3]
- Open Ultimate Chicken Horse, press "Play Online" and host a lobby.
- When in-game at the Treehouse, open the pause menu and click "Lobby".
- Click on the **** to reveal your 4-letter code.
- If you want to save your code for future games, click the checkbox to "Freeze Invite Code". Your code will stay the same until you uncheck the box (and the new update is released).
