I began working on RISE in 2021…
[p][/p][p]By 2023 I was burned out and unsure if a first-person co-op climbing game would appeal to anyone. After the success of PEAK in 2025, I felt reassured that it was worth finishing. I’m proud to share this mix of my favourite things - co-op games, climbing, and megastructures.[/p][p][/p][p]- [p]Load into a lobby with your friends[/p]
- [p]Travel to the first map, Eldercrag[/p]
- [p]Climb about halfway up the mountain (not the summit yet)[/p]
- [p]Use climbing axes, the camera, binoculars, and the walkie-talkie[/p]
- [p]Try out balancing, long jumps, and checkpoints[/p]
- [p]Mess around with a couple of other items (though some are only half-working)[/p]
- [p]You can’t reach the top of the mountain[/p]
- [p]No other maps or alternate climbing routes yet[/p]
- [p]No climbing rope or player-to-player interactions[/p]
- [p]Most items don’t work yet (or are half implemented)[/p]
- [p]Lots of animations missing/incomplete[/p]
- [p]Some audio and music missing or placeholder[/p]
- [p]No tutorials, no character customization, no player list/vote kick[/p]
- [p]Physics are janky in places[/p]
- [p]Parkour has some bugs[/p]
- [p]First-person item positions need polish[/p]
- [p]No Steam integration complete yet[/p]
- [p]No keybind remapping[/p]
- [p]No controller support[/p]
- [p]No translations[/p]
