Update #8 – Lag Optimization

[p]Today’s update focuses on reducing lag and improving the overall gameplay experience ![/p][p]Changes :[/p]
  • [p]The settings menu and its sub-menus are no longer preloaded; they now load when opened and unload once closed.[/p]
  • [p]The R&D menu is no longer preloaded; it now loads when opened and unloads once closed.
    (Other menus are not affected, at least for now.)[/p]
  • [p]The crafting info menu is now aligned to the right.[/p]
  • [p]The Tab menu no longer has priority over active objectives, so it will now be the one that moves.[/p]
  • [p]Locked banner buttons are no longer preloaded until the corresponding upgrade is unlocked.[/p]
[p]Optimization :[/p]
  • [p]The number of cameras has been reduced thanks to the merging of settings sub-menus.[/p]
[p]Added :[/p]
  • [p]It is now possible to press Escape to close the sub-menus in the settings menu.[/p]
[p]Bug Fix :[/p]
  • [p]Employees are now immediately removed from the Tab as soon as you click “Fire”, allowing you to recruit as quickly as you dismiss someone.[/p]
[p]Most of you should see a noticeable FPS boost, especially on lower-end setups. You might experience minor micro-lags when loading menus, but high-end configurations shouldn’t notice any difference.[/p]

Update #7– Steam Achievements

[p]While working on preparing the next major update, I stumbled upon an old piece of forgotten and unfinished code related to the “days played” achievements. The counter itself was already there, which means that depending on how long you’ve been playing your current save, you’ll unlock several achievements at once![/p][p]Added:[/p]
  • [p]Achievements related to the number of days spent in the same company[/p]
    • [p]Day 1[/p]
    • [p]Day 10[/p]
    • [p]Day 100[/p]
    • [p]Day 1K[/p]
    • [p]Day 10K[/p]
[p]Bug fix :[/p]
  • [p]If you exited an event after completing it and the window didn’t have time to close, upon restarting you would be stuck forever with the window open, unable to get new events. This is now fixed ![/p]

Update #6 - Discord Integration

Update #5 – Settings Menu

[p]This update focuses on the settings menu, which had become unbearable since the last patch. Now we’ve got a clean and shiny new menu ![/p][p]Changes :[/p]
  • [p]Two sections have been created to organize the adjustable options:[/p]
    • [p]Audio : everything related to sound[/p]
    • [p]Video : everything related to visuals[/p]
[p]Bug fixes :[/p]
  • [p]You can no longer press Escape while in a submenu of the settings menu (to prevent display issues).[/p]

[p]With this update, all bugs reported so far have been fixed. Feel free to let me know if you encounter any.[/p][p]Bug fixes:[/p]
  • [p]A press might not create an ingot. This is now fixed: it will always create one (also accounts for invisible ingots adjustable in the settings).[/p]
[p]Additions:[/p]
  • [p]Slider to adjust the size of context menus (Machine & Employee).[/p]
  • [p]The ability to assign a task to an employee is unlocked via the R&D menu.[/p]
    • [p]A tutorial is included.[/p]
[p]The settings menu is starting to become very crowded, so I will modify it in the coming days with better-organized submenus.[/p]
