It Takes a War is OUT NOW!
[p]The servers are spun up. The arsenal is stocked. The enemy is lining up at the frontline. [/p][p]
It's time to connect. [/p][p][/p][p]It Takes a War - which is OUT NOW! - has been confusing players and journalists a-like since it was announced in September. “Was the game made in 2001 or is it set in 2001?”, “So is just that one map like?" and “What tf am I looking at!?” are all things that have been asked since then. [/p][p][/p][p]Missed the latest trailer? Because it basically doesn’t clear any of those questions up at all. It makes things more confusing, if anything.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
A Quick But Important Note
[p]If possible, we recommend making sure you have enough time to play It Takes a War in one session as to not disappoint your teammates. A single playthrough of It Takes a War consists of around 45-60 minutes of playtime - so reserve that time in full, if you're able. [/p][p][/p]
Oh yeah, The Demo's staying up btw!
[p]
[/p][p]Undecided? Want to check out a short, self-contained prelude to It Takes a War? Good news! It Takes a War: Demo Drills: The Director's Cut will remain live post launch, so you can check this out at any point. [/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
The Five-A-Side Bundle
[p][/p][p]
[/p][p]We're mega-chuffed to be partnering with Julián Cordero, Sebastian Valbuena and the fine folks at Panic for the Five-A-Side Bundle; a package bringing Despelote and It Takes a War under one roof. [/p][p][/p][p]Slice-of-life soccer adventure and team-based tactical shooter. What an unlikely pair!? But what if I told you there are deeper thematic ties here than first meets the eye? Noughties nostalgia, friendship, and a longing for connection. [/p][p][/p]
[/p][p]Thank you to everyone and anyone who decides to check the game out (yes, even you). I put a lot of hard work into this project and I really appreciate the support I've received so far.
[/p][p]If you end up enjoying It Takes a War, please feel free to leave a review. I’m always very anxious to share my work with people, but despite that I would still love to know what you thought! Unless it's something bad, in that case I'd rather you send a handwritten letter if that's okay. An insult is always easier to swallow when you can see the person's handwriting.
[/p][p]I don't expect this game to necessarily be as much of a "crowd-pleaser" as THE CORRIDOR, but it's just as personal to me (if not more) and so if it resonates with even a few of you I'll consider it a job well done.
[/p][p]Stay connected out there! Or don't, whatever's best for you.
