Deathplane Demo Update 0.1.0 Release

[p]The Deathplane demo has been updated to version 0.1.0. This update is mainly intended to address some concerns and suggestions based on player feedback from Steam Next Fest. A huge thank you goes out from me to everyone who had played and is playing the demo.[/p]
  • [p]Added checkpoints[/p]
    • [p]Checkpoints are represented as a cracked blue block in-game[/p]
    • [p]Checkpoints will do a short autosave of your current level progress and save it in the file “checkp1.sav” under %LocalAppData%/dplane__active_[/p]
    • [p]Deathplane position, player position and whether you have a key is saved[/p]
    • [p]Checkpoints persist throughout sessions but will not be automatically loaded when you enter the level[/p]
    • [p]Checkpoints only load once you die[/p]
    • [p]Loading a checkpoint will not reset the level to its initial state[/p]
    • [p]Checkpoint files can be deleted from the main menu by deleting your save file[/p]
    • [p]You can only have one checkpoint at once; entering a new level and touching a checkpoint will erase your last one[/p]
    • [p]Checkpoints will remain active as long as you touch them unless a deathplane is touching them[/p]
    • [p]You can disable checkpoints from the settings menu[/p]
    • [p]The game will slow down when touching a checkpoint; this will be addressed in the next patch[/p]
  • [p]You can no longer “kill” flags by touching them with a deathplane[/p]
    • [p]This caused many issues, the biggest one being that when you kill a flag, the level restarts, essentially creating a point from which you can no longer move the deathplane.[/p]
  • [p]Level 1-2 now has a floor beneath the flag[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the green coins making a sound even when sound effects are off[/p]
  • [p]You can now return to the Main Hub directly from the tutorial instead of only from the menu[/p]
  • [p]Other miscellaneous changes and improvements[/p]
