Bug Fixes Update (0.18.3.0)



Hey everyone! Now that we’ve stated our plans for the “Road to 1.0”, we’re here with a first update to tackle reported bugs!

This update includes over 90 fixes to areas of the game that have had issues pop up in the recent updates, as well as long standing bugs.

We’ve already been getting a ton of responses and have gotten to work on major bugs that have been reported there in addition to ones we already knew about!

If you want to fill out the feedback survey, we seriously appreciate it and it is of great help to us as a small team!

PLAZA FIXES


We’ve tackled bugs and made gameplay tweaks in the Plaza.

These include fixes to Arcade, Casino, Fishing, Minigames, Dark Voyage, and more!

The fishing ponds should now be functional (excluding the peninsula), and there have been fixes to general gameplay as well.

In the Casino, fixes were made to Aces and they are now calculated properly as high or low in all card games, soft locks were fixed, bingo cards no longer display on the wrong screens, and Silver Saddles now properly returns your bet if you win.

In the Arcade, Coin River, Dragon’s Treasure, Coloracle, Cow Wheel, and Balloon Pop have all had major fixes, as well as fixes to LODs.

In Dark Voyage, player guns no longer block your view, allowing you to enjoy the game without your friends getting in the way.

Other fixes are detailed in the changelog below!

GAME WORLD FIXES


This update includes many fixes for collision issues and spawn points in Virus: Subway.

Ball Race, Zombie Massacre, SDNL, and Virus all had fixes to visual issues, gameplay, and collision, respectively.

There were also fixes and improvements for Sub-Objectives in Zombie Massacre, and SDNL grav glove prediction improvements.

CONDO FIXES


Several fixes have been made for item collision desyncs, visual issues, and other minor map issues in Highrise, Underwater, and Resort Condos! Also, hiding items now saves!

Further changes are detailed below! Again, we greatly appreciate any feedback in our feedback survey, forums, or other comments!

PLAZA FIXES COMING NEXT


We are hard at work on the major Plaza changes which will include the new Casino entrance & outside area, new fishing peninsula, and various fixes and optimizations.

Changes
  • Virus: All weapons now automatically reload when their clip is empty (if they have ammo)
  • You can now rotate your camera (without rotating yourself) while on the broom stick after pressing right click
  • Player Profiles: Made friends only status a lot more noticeable. Removed the underline effect and added an icon
  • Player Profiles: Made location status a lot more visible on bright backgrounds
  • Added mature condo filter support to Condo Hub
  • Typing Derby: Added an animation when you fail a word
  • Condo: Fixed stashed item notifications duplicating multiple times (now it combines all the recent notifications into one)
  • Arcade: Optimized leaderboards
  • Casino - Bingo: Added mouse mode toggle (space key), which will keep the camera static on the board and enable mouse input allowing you to select without moving your view
  • Added circular variant to Mirror Panel item, and support for future shapes

Plaza Bug Fixes
  • Arcade: Fixed coin pushers
  • Arcade: Fixed issues with Coloracle
  • Arcade: Fixed issues with Cow Wheel
  • Arcade: Fixed soft lock with Arcade and Boardwalk Games when first playing them (such as Milk Jug Toss leading to not being able to toss the ball)
  • Arcade: Fixed Prismatic ending too early when there's still balls in the maze
  • Arcade: Fixed LOD of Wheel of Fire sign
  • Arcade - Pluck-a-Pal: Fixed sheep plush being too big in Pluck-a-Pal making it impossible to grab
  • Arcade - Pluck-a-Pal: Fixed collisions with Obnoxious Citrus for Pluck-a-Pal
  • Boardwalk - Balloon Pop: Fixed balloons not always making a pop sound and also improved the pop sound
  • Boardwalk - Balloon Pop: Fixed top left balloon popping immediately preventing you from winning the game
  • Boardwalk - Balloon Pop: Fixed balloons not popping for spectators
  • Boardwalk - Milk Jug Toss: Added settle delay to ensure the milk jugs have settled before ending the game
  • Dark Voyage: Fixed guns from other players blocking your view (now they fade out)
  • Casino - Video Poker: Fixed ace pairs not counting as jacks or better
  • Casino - Video Poker/Poker: Fixed ace not calculating as low or high properly
  • Casino - Blackjack: Fixed being able to double down on a natural blackjack, causing bet calculation issues
  • Casino - Silver Saddles: Fixed your bet towards a winning horse not being rewarded back to you
  • Casino - Bingo: Fixed cards being assigned to the wrong screens
  • Casino: Fixed long-standing issue where you could not get up from their slot machine if you just did an action or spun the wheel
  • Fishing: Fixed not being able to move bobber in one of the fishing pond
  • Fishing: Fixed fish sometimes spawning too far out from the range of the bobber radius
  • Fishing: Fixed fishing cast circle having visual glitch
  • Trivia: Fixed Top Total Score leaderboard not updating while playing single player
  • Trivia: Fixed many issues where players would not be put into the seats properly, or could get the game to soft lock
  • Trivia: Fixed an issue where you could not be able to cast to a response with keyboard shortcut sometimes
  • Halloween: Fixed pumpkin placements in Plaza (ones that were clipping or floating)
  • Halloween: Fixed trick or treat candy buckets blocking camera
  • Typing Derby: Fixed some exploits


Condo Bug Fixes
  • Condo: Fixed items that are hidden being desynced with clients who late join
  • Condo/SDK: Fixed needing to double click to change item targets on condo IO connections
  • Condo/SDK: Fixed "Goto" condo IO connection feature not working properly
  • Condo: Fixed unset canvas material displaying as Sky Space
  • Condos: Resort - Fixed gap in floor underneath Suite doors
  • Condos: Resort - Fixed water in fountain being solid
  • Condos: Resort - Fixed landscape near pool weirdly glitching out
  • Condos: Resort - Fixed Z fighting in the store area
  • Condos: Resort - Fixed small gaps in Arcade stairs
  • Condos: Highrise - Adjusted collision on stairs in living room to better fit the actual model
  • Condos: Underwater - Fixed several surfaces that were editable, but visually would not change
  • Condos: Underwater - Fixed several surfaces that were not editable
  • Condos: Underwater - Adjusted water physics volume so that items actually float on top of the water rather than just underneath
  • Condos: Underwater - Fixed a light visually staying on in Satellite Condo 4
  • Condos: Underwater - Adjusted seaweed too close to windows
  • Condos: Underwater - Fixed spelling mistake in Location volume
  • Condos: Underwater - Adjusted post process volume underwater
  • Condo/SDK: Fixed floating chat messages not clearing when dying while inside the radius or when an SDK map ends
  • Condo/SDK: Fixed floating chat not clearing when the floating chat item is destroyed
  • Condo IO: Fixed Camera IO not setting FOV properly if players have a different FOV set from the default FOV
  • Condo: Fixed custom item names taking priority of item types when grouped by type (would display a custom item name instead of Canvas Cube x4) in Item Finder
  • SDK: Fixed camera fade module causing hidden items to become visible


Item Fixes
  • Fixed Carnivorous Plant not playing sound packs properly
  • Fixed Flying Eyeball Pet not displaying
  • Fixed Canvas Necronomicon not displaying for clients
  • Fixed hat crab scale
  • Fixed potion equipping being applied to clients if the host is toggling the potions
  • Fixed broom stick animations being offset for players who are smaller scale
  • Fixed Damage Heal Volume rate value being ignored and not functioning
  • Sound Emitter: Fixed workshop sound emitters not resuming at the correct position when you walk away from their hearing radius
  • Sound Emitter: Fixed pitch adjustment not updating playback duration properly
  • Sound Emitter: Fixed workshop sound emitters playlists not working (would not advance to the next sound)
  • Fixed FPS issues while equipping the crossbow milestone item


Game World Bug Fixes
  • Gib system: Fixed top half gib ragdoll not working for workshop models (it would freeze mid-air)
  • Fixed player profile backgrounds not updating on waiting for players menu
  • ZM: Fixed sub-objectives not starting for clients
  • ZM - Gasoline: Adjusted zombie spawns to prevent dead zones
  • ZM SDK: Optimized zombie spawners
  • Virus - Subway: Prevented players getting on top of benches they shouldn't
  • Virus - Subway: Adjusted collision around no-entry ticket barriers
  • Virus - Subway: Fixed broken spawn point
  • Virus - Subway: Fixed collision of pipes that stuck out way further than their geometry
  • Virus - Solar: Fixed horde mode only blockers (and ramp) still having collision in non horde mode in Solar
  • Ball Race - Event Horizon: Fixed issue where small blackholes wouldn't kill you when you approached them slowly
  • Ball Race - Khromidro: Fixed water flickering in and out of existence when looking straight down
  • SDNL: Fixed grav glove kills only awarding achievement/stat progress for the host (now it works for clients too)
  • SDNL: Added client side prediction when carrying an object with the grav glove (fixes grav glove lag when carrying)
  • SDNL: Fixed kills payout displaying when you have 0 kills
  • SDNL - Meadows: Physics crates now respawn when there is not enough of them anymore
  • Minigolf - Forest: Fixed sky in Forest being dark
  • Minigolf: Fixed issues with spectating camera defaulting at a weird angle wrongly
  • Minigolf: Fixed issues with spectating camera not handling collisions properly


Bug Fixes
  • Fixed SDK maps not loading sometimes on first time play if you click on host quickly
  • Fixed head not hiding in First Person Legs mode
  • Fixed your head being missing in mirrors while in First Person Legs mode
  • Fixed wearables not drawing in mirrors in first person when First Person Legs are enabled
  • Fixed the broom stick leg physics for workshop models
  • Fixed player model textures breaking when de-quipping a workshop model while in a vehicle
  • Fixed appearance cameras going to the floor when editing appearance while in a vehicle
  • Fixed Ghoul Coins being falsely rewarded multiple times
  • Fixed chat rules popup not closing if you close the chat window without closing the chat rules popup
  • Fixed names on collection book leaderboards being hard to read
  • Fixed vehicles lagging when you press the alt key
  • Fixed name tags of players you have one-way blocked not hiding when you just blocked them
  • Fixed rolling pets of players you have blocked showing up (now they will not be there)
  • Fixed vomit emote effects of players you have blocked showing up (now it will not be there)
  • VR: Fixed your head and wearables being missing in mirrors
  • VR: Fixed camera centering/initialization issues
  • VR: Fixed VR main menu not being interactable



Known Major Issues That Will Be Fixed In Next Plaza Update
  • Pluck-A-Pal on boardwalk has horrible physics (specifically that one machine)
  • Bowling alley shows your wearables in first person
  • Dark Voyage level streaming issues
  • Peninsula water is not a fishing spot

Johanna continued working on finishing optimizations and art for the Plaza.

macdguy continued going through long standing bugs in preparation for the 1.0 release. He fixed bugs in SDNL, Minigolf, Bingo, Trivia, the Arcade games in the boardwalk, as well as issues with the first person camera. He also worked on the Shooting Gallery in the Arcade, added a exterior to the Virus map, Hospital, and centered the VR Camera.

Nuclearxpotato continued working on the Minigolf map, Dino Drive, working on polish and lighting.

Sketchman worked on optimizations and fixing bugs in preparation for the 1.0 release.

Wheezwer worked with Makeship and wrote the changelog for the next update.

Nuclearxpotato continued working on the Minigolf map, Dino Drive, cleaning up holes and lightmaps. He also worked on some long standing items, such as a new Shutter Door and Garage Doors.

Sketchman worked on fixing bugs in preparation for the 1.0 release.

Wheezwer created the November calendar and planned out events, while also working on art for various aspects of the game.

Will continued working on music for SDNL and the 1.0 release trailer.
