Lootbane Demo is OUT NOW

[p][/p][p]Hey folks, I’m so happy to finally release the first public demo of Lootbane![/p][p][/p][p]It's happening thanks to your feedback from the initial playtest - every message, bug report, suggestion, and bit of support helped shape this version. I thank you once again![/p][p] [/p][p]What’s included in the Demo:[/p]
  • [p]The Warrior - one of four playable classes[/p]
  • [p]The first two regions: Forest Lands and Desert Lands[/p]
  • [p]A wide variety of loot, followers, powers, and synergies[/p]
  • [p]Challenging enemies and bosses[/p]
  • [p]The city hub - sell items, stash gear, and deposit gold before your next run [/p]
  • [p]Each run is built around risk and reward. The deeper you go, the more gold and better loot you can earn - but enemies scale fast, and death wipes everything you’re carrying. [/p]

Playtest-Driven Improvements[/h3][p]This demo is the result of the first public playtest. Based on your feedback, I’ve improved pacing, added new content, adjusted balance, and made key systems easier to read - even if the decisions themselves are harder to make. New roguelite dungeon crawler Lootbane is tempting me with risk and reward, and you can join its first playtest now

Some of the best roguelikes in recent years, from Hades to Megabonk, have increasingly leant into offering you ways to gradually hone your builds and either mitigate or circumnavigate the random elements. In cases such as Slay the Spire, I can understand the appeal. But part of me craves the 'take it or leave it' approach seen in classics like The Binding of Isaac. A playtest for new indie dungeon crawler Lootbane has just kicked off, and it's exactly the sort of fast-paced risk/reward decision making I've been craving.

Lootbane’s first public Steam Playtest has officially started!
[/h3][p]From now until December 4, 2025, you can jump in, try the early build, explore the Forest Lands, and help us fine-tune the game’s core systems - risk, reward, loot, and buildcrafting.[/p][h3]

  • [p]Warband Building - Recruit followers and combine their abilities to create powerful synergies.[/p]
  • [p]Risk-Reward Dungeons - Each floor increases both the reward multiplier and the danger. Keep your loot or go one floor deeper.[/p]
  • [p]Randomized Items - Loot remains unidentified until you survive a dungeon, turning every fight and every route you take into a calculated risk.[/p]
  • [p]Dynamic Region - The playtest showcases the first Forest Lands region, where every run unfolds differently.[/p]

First Playtest of Lootbane - Sign-Ups Are NOW OPEN!

[/p][p]I’m happy to announce that sign-ups for Lootbane’s first public Steam Playtest are now officially open! [/p][p]The playtest will run from November 27 to December 4, 2025, giving you a full week to dive into the game’s risk-driven RPG systems, experiment with builds, and - most importantly - grab as much loot as you can carry.
[/p][p]Lootbane is an addictive RPG where loot defines your power and every decision is a gamble. Choose your hero, assemble a warband of followers, explore shifting regions, and decide how deep you’re willing to go before cashing out your haul.[/p][p][/p][h2]What Awaits You in the Playtest:[/h2]
