UNOCYCLE
Not only among demons and people are there incredible madmen who move progress forward. One of them was the dwarf Sidrok, who was always interested in mechanisms. From early childhood, he sought to create something new and breakthrough, so throughout his life he created many useless things.
For example, an automatic pickaxe, to use which you needed to have the strength of three dwarves.
But sometimes Sidrok had breakthroughs. One of them was the unocycle - an unusual mechanism in the form of a circle, which allowed you to travel huge distances. Initially, the gnomes considered the unocycle a useless mechanism: what was the point of it if there were rails in the tunnels?
Their opinion changed when a team of gnomes was digging a new adit. Several workers were buried and needed to be rescued urgently. Sidrok on the unocycle reached the blockage before anyone else and saved the gnomes.
When the gnomes got to the surface, Sidrok showed his invention to the people. But they didn’t like the fact that the central axis prevented them from looking forward, so they abandoned the unocycle. Nevertheless, some liked the unusual transport and asked Sidrok to make it bigger so that a person could fit in it.
Sidrok is no longer alive. However, the unocycle can still be found among collectors, but they sell it at a very high price.
GOLD RESERVE
After reaching the surface, the gnomes began to cooperate with humans. One of them, Brok, saw that humans were using hops to produce delicious ale, so he began to study the technology to create his own unique drink.
It must be admitted that Brok's drink really turned out delicious. But how to make people drink his ale, because they are used to their own? Brok consulted Sidrok, who made him a special barrel called a "gold reserve" that could be carried on his shoulders. Brok traveled with it to human cities and offered everyone a mug of his drink.
The dwarven ale quickly conquered the human cities. But some people liked not only the drink, but also the unusual barrel. They began ordering them from Sidrok and, like Brok, went to human cities and let everyone try their drinks.
SIDROCK'S HELMET
Perhaps Sidrok's most controversial invention was his unusual helmet. It was supposed to be used by the dwarves during the war with the elves. Sidrok believed that thanks to this helmet the elves would be afraid of the dwarves and retreat, but the helmet did not give any significant advantage.
However, after the dwarves came to the surface, the helmet became popular with the people. It had an unusual shape and a creepy mask. The royal family liked them so much that a special squad of elite fighters wore these helmets. The warriors won a major victory over the demons, which went down in history as the "Horned Clash." Today, the special squad no longer exists. But Sidrok's helmets are still as strong as they were hundreds of years ago, which is why they are so valuable.
BULES
After reaching the surface, the gnomes began to explore the Sphere. They became acquainted with the animal world, plants, and human technologies. The King of the gnomes even personally led expeditions to explore the world of the Sphere.
On one of these expeditions, he saw a rare black bird - a bules. A few days later, the king died. A month later, the new king of the gnomes also traveled around the Sphere, saw a boules, and a week later he was buried in one of the old mines.
All this led to the gnomes considering the boules a harbinger of evil for the gnomes. Therefore, they began to avoid places with cursed birds. The demons learned about such prejudices and began to catch boules to use them in the fight against the gnomes for intimidation.
VORL
Vorls are cute furry animals that live underground. Thanks to their sense of smell, they can avoid dangerous places underground. Sidrok noticed this and began to use vorls to find places where an underground passage could collapse.
Vorls had an unimaginable effect on people: the animals were tamed and began to be actively bred. But when the first wave of excitement passed, people realized that there was no practical use for underground vorls on the surface. Scientists and wizards tried to use vorls in building castles to detect weak spots in walls, but to no avail. However, these animals are very smart, so people managed to teach them to carry items in special bags.
