- GamepadUI now works properly on Linux systems.

An update for FIREFIGHT RELOADED's BETA has been released. The update will be applied when you restart FIREFIGHT RELOADED's BETA.

NOTE: This update only applies to the "endgame-beta" beta branch.



- Added GamepadUI as the main UI for FIREFIGHT RELOADED!
- This also changes the Store panel. If you would like to get the original Store, use the "buymenu" command.
- Actually compiled it for Linux this time.
- Improved the look of the killfeed.
- Improved the visibility of the HUD on smaller screens.
- The Antlion Guard and Guardian now count as Antlions for Antlion kill milestone achievements.
- Explosives will now deliver knockback damage.
- Added many different commits/fixes from GitHub contributor DeciusMagnus.
Including:
- Fixed various bugs/crashes with the game and HUD.
- Reduced spawner memory usage.
- You can now adjust how many manhacks/grenades can spawn for Metrocops and Combine Soldiers in the spawnlists.
- Fixed Assassins dropping 3 weapons instead of 2.
- Improved Playerbot weapon select AI.
- Fixed bugs with gibbing.
- Fixed NPC names not showing up in killfeed.
- Knives now get removed from your inventory upon throw. You must pick up your thrown knife or buy them from the store.
- And other various performance and bug fixes.
- Renamed the Katana to the Axebane Katana in tribute to a friend.
- Changed the Grapple fire sound.
- Increased the default FOV to 90.
- Gave the Combine Ace a more distinct voice.
- Removed some weapons and NPCs for game balance.
- Added OCIW-styled zoom to the AR2.
- Added the Railgun.
- Added the Civil Protection Ace.
- Added a visual indicator for the Combine Ace's shield.
- Fixed a bug where the max. level is 300. (it is supposed to be 20)
- Added a proper ending + an Advisor boss fight.

An update for FIREFIGHT RELOADED's ENDGAME BETA has been released. The update will be applied when you restart FIREFIGHT RELOADED's ENDGAME BETA.

- Updated the localization files (Simplified Chinese)
- Fixed a crash related to the Crossbow. (GitHub PR #29 by DeciusMagnus)
- Refactored npc_player logic. (GitHub PR #29 by DeciusMagnus)
- Reclassified item and weapon respawn time ConVars as CVAR_ARCHIVE and not CVAR_CHEAT. (GitHub PR #29 by DeciusMagnus)
- Added a new "MODDING" button to the main menu that opens the Workshop page.

Steam Controller users may also notice a new Steam Controller configuration. Here's some tips for it:
- You DON'T have to put stress on your bumpers! Ironsights and Kick are placed in alternative places on the controller for those trying to play the mod without damaging their controller over time.
- Grappling, using your ironsights, or switching fire modes, etc are all done using the left trackpad. You can switch this to an easy weapon selection dial by pressing and holding the left grip paddle, then swiping horizontally or vertically on the trackpad.

Steam Controller Config and Project Update

Hi everyone,

I first wanted to discuss about a new config I made for the mod that allows you to use your Steam Controller for specific actions. I recently got ahold of a Steam Controller as a result of a trade, so I thought it was fitting to make a Steam Controller config for FR. It is similar to the default layout, but it binds some more controls to it and takes advantage of the touch-sensitive touch pads. The main issue currently is timing the duration of the double-tap to zoom feature, however it will be tuned to perfection at some point. As for project updates, there haven't been a lot of updates mainly since not a lot of work has gotten into the project recently. However, I will get back to work on the project soon, with another Endgame Beta update planned to be sent out in the near future. This update will add some community fixes alongside a modding button for the main menu, so make sure to look out for that soon. I plan on releasing a more elaborate project update post when major changes get added.
