We hope your time in Warhammer 40000: Dark Heresy alpha has been enjoyable. To make it even more pleasant, we're dropping the first hotfix, which should address some bugs and issues.

Acolyte. The predictions from your last report have been confirmed: we have received compelling evidence that Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy alpha testing is now active. It is taking place on Steam. Your duty is to address this matter of utmost importance as soon as you are able. All authorised agents in your region are to proceed immediately to deployment.

Join the alpha and be the first to try out our new investigation system, meet new characters and companions, and delve deeper into the story of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. But be careful, the mission ahead is full of threats. You are about to step into a world where your very faith will constantly be tested and where the truth is shrouded in heresy.
[h2]How to Join the Alpha[/h2]
The Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy alpha test is available to all Acolytes who have supported us and pre-ordered the Developers Digital Pack or Collector's Edition of the game on our website.

If your pack does not include access to the alpha, you can still join the test by upgrading your order. To do this, log in to your account and open the "My orders" tab. On the right, you will see a large red "Upgrade" button. By clicking on it and following the instructions, you will be able to upgrade your order.
[h2]Alpha Activation Protocol[/h2]
If you pre-ordered one of the packs that offer exclusive access to the alpha, then it’s time to enter the sacred archives of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and begin your first mission. Here is a sanctioned protocol for Acolytes on how to add the alpha project to your Steam account.

1. Redeem the alpha key in your account on the Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy website. Proceed to your profile page and then head to the “Digital Download” section.
   
2. Log in to your Steam client. Select "Games" —> "Activate a Product on Steam" in the main section at the top of the screen.
   
   Please note that the alpha test is taking place only on Steam.
   
3. Enter your alpha code in the window that appears on the screen.
   
4. After entering the product code, click "Confirm".

The alpha project will now appear in your Steam library and be ready to download. Please note that the alpha version of the game is located in a separate project and not on the main game page.
