Shaping Winston Springs
Hey everyone!
In this devlog, we’d like to give you a closer look at how Winston Springs is coming together in Car Rental Simulator. We’ve been working on both new locations and updated versions of core areas to make the city feel cohesive, grounded, and ready to explore.

Winston Springs first appeared in Car Dealer Simulator, and it continues to inspire us. Our goal is to preserve its spirit and identity while building upon it in a way that feels natural and consistent within the rental business setting. Some parts of Winston Springs may look familiar, but they’ve been reworked and expanded. New buildings have appeared, certain areas have evolved, and recognizable spots now carry a slightly refreshed look.

We’re excited to continue shaping Winston Springs and showing you how the city keeps taking form. And we can assure you - there’s much more to come.

Let us know what you think, and we’ll see you in the next devlog!

Employee System Basics
Hey everyone!
In this devlog, we’re taking a closer look at the employee system in Car Rental Simulator. Employees are meant to become a real support in your daily rental operations. Instead of handling every task on your own, you’ll be able to delegate work and focus on growing the business as a whole.

Each employee will have their own stats that affect work efficiency, meaning not everyone performs tasks in the same way or at the same speed. On top of that, workers can develop their skills up to a certain level, allowing you to gradually improve their competence and better tailor your team to your needs.

This system is designed to add another layer of management and decision-making, while making the rental business feel more alive and dynamic.

Car Editor
Hey everyone!
This time, we’d like to take you a little behind the scenes and show a tool we’ve been working with to make development faster and more flexible - the Car Editor. While it’s not something players will interact with directly, it plays a big role in how cars are added and refined in Car Rental Simulator.

The Car Editor allows us to quickly set up vehicles by assigning the right parts and making sure everything fits together correctly. It also lets us place photo points on each car, which are later used when creating rental listings, as well as define trash spawn points and fine-tune how mess appears inside the vehicle.

On top of that, the tool makes it easy to link parts together so they move and behave as a group. This helps us iterate faster, test different setups, and adjust vehicles without rebuilding everything from scratch each time.

Tools like this might stay in the background, but they help us move quicker, experiment more, and focus on making the in-game experience smoother and more consistent. We’re happy to finally give you a small peek at how some of this work gets done.

Tuning the Radio
Hey everyone!
Music plays a huge role in shaping the mood of a game, and in Car Rental Simulator, it’s no different. The right soundtrack can completely change how a moment feels - whether you’re managing your business or just spending time around the lot.

In the game, you’ll have access to multiple radio stations, each with its own vibe and musical style, so everyone should be able to find something that fits their mood. Every track has been hand-picked by the team, and we hope the soundtrack will feel both memorable and enjoyable during longer play sessions.

We also had a lot of fun recording custom radio jingles and stingers, which help tie everything together and add extra flavor and immersion to the experience. These were made specifically for the game to give each station more personality and make the radio feel like a natural part of the world, rather than just background music.

Pedestrian System
Hey everyone!
Pedestrians play an important role in making the city feel alive and believable. Their presence helps turn streets and locations into living spaces rather than static scenery, adding a strong sense of immersion.

With the pedestrian system in place, NPCs move through public areas, cross streets, and react to nearby cars, bringing constant motion and natural behavior to the city. These small interactions help the environment feel more dynamic and grounded.

When things don’t go exactly as planned and a collision happens, the ragdoll system comes into play. Along with added realism, it can also lead to some unexpected and occasionally humorous moments, giving the gameplay a bit of extra character.
