Nefarious interior designers create a dungeon! 📜

From time beyond memory, a great evil overlord has plagued the land, his ruthless cruelty matched only by his ruthlessly poor decorating taste. That evil overlord has died, and numerous pretenders are vying to take over his throne. And everyone knows that the first step on the journey to becoming a legendary evil boss is to set up a nefarious lair.

That’s where you come in.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

You are a dungeon decorator who specializes in setting up cozy underground spaces with just the right “lair-y” feel for your clients. You will compete against your opponents to build the best dungeon with all the right accoutrements, so that your villainous clients can move in, feel at home, and get right down to evilling.

Dungeon Decorators is a competitive “light euro” tile-drafting strategy game for 2 to 4 players. Select tiles that give you the right combination of chilling chambers, harrowing hallways and dire decorations, then play goal cards to score points. The player who scores the most points achieves victory by impressing the client and setting them on their path to becoming the next legendary evil!

An adventure board game set in steampunk Victorian England ⚙🧪

Penny Dreadfun (2nd Edition) will take you to the year 1888, to Victorian England, full of occultism, British humour, and more or less historical characters. You play as one of many unusual heroes, who – driven by various motives – set off to the city to find the source of disaster and save the world, which is becoming more and more taken over by forces of hell.

The gameplay itself combines classic elements of adventure games with modern solutions, such as an RPG-like system of choices and their consequences, or a vast freedom in planning your actions, including building your own deck, which is reponsible for character development, executing actions, and even the fast-paced combat.

Note that this scenario is the first introductory scenario of the base game – It doesn’t use all the cards that are in a base game, but give a glimpse of all game mechanics. It helps new players to know the rules of the game – the deckbuilding, resource management and fighting system.

Every scenario in Penny Dreadfun 2nd Edition is different, has it’s own story and needs different approach! Players wins every scenario as a group, but also score points for themselves, that are noted on a Campaign Sheet – after the full Campaign one player will emerge as a hero of the Penny Dreadfun story, while others will be just merely sidekicks!

Misty

It’s raining outside. The windows are misty, but covered in drawings. Players receive cards with different designs and keep only one for their window. They then give the other cards to their neighbor.

After 12 turns, each player has a magnificent window filled with drawings that will come to life in front of them: the balloons float up, the vehicles drive out and the leaves fall down. Only some of the drawings can earn you points. The most beautiful and valuable drawing is the flower, but watch out for the monster who keeps on trying to eat it.

Misty is a tactical draft game, in which to win, one must anticipate where the cards will move and watch the other players’ windows.

Papageno

In your enchanted kingdom, a flock of colorful birds is flying around. To impress the Queen, will you be able to attract the best specimen to land on your wire? Pick them carefully to score fewer points than the other bird catchers and beware, the biggest birds might cost you victory.

In Papageno, players collect bird cards, exchange bigger birds for smaller ones — or vice versa — and create pairs in order to find the perfect balance on their wire. Papageno, Mozart's famous bird catcher, can help attract birds in your garden...or mess with all the players' games.

Uwe Rosenberg's New Spiel-Nominated Game! 🌙

The new moon is a symbol for a new beginning, the perfect time to start something new and to plan your future — and that is what Nova Luna (lat. for new moon) is all about. In each round of this abstract tile-laying game, you have to plan your future anew, developing a new strategy to cope with what the moon wheel has to offer you.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
On each turn, you have to decide which new tile from the moon wheel to place in front of you. Every new tile brings a new task you have to fulfill. In order to do so, you need to place tiles of the correct color adjacent to the task you want to complete, but these of course again bring you new tasks. Each time a task is solved, you may place one of your markers on it. So decide wisely and be the first one to place all your markers.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Nova Luna is made by acclaimed designers Uwe Rosenberg and Corné van Moorsel, and was nominated for the 2020 Spiel Des Jahres. In the committee's words: "A game of “Nova Luna” seems to be an almost spiritual experience. From deep within a meditative trance, players contemplate their display of tiles. But behind this is a highly attractive intellectual challenge. “Nova Luna” arrives without any bells and whistles, it brings the game back to basics, just as how an unadulterated view of the night sky can bring more joy than the showiest firework."

Learn & Play Varia - The First Person Card Game

Hey Tabletopians!

We want to invite you all to our Learn & Play event on Thursday, 8th of October. Tabletopia will be hosting a live teaching session of Varia - the first person card game (which is currently on Kickstarter!). Mark from Tabletopia will be joined by Anthony, one of the co-designers of the game. We'll play a round or two to give you a feel for the flow of the game, and after the rules explanation you'll be able to find opponents among other attendees and play straight away. This is your chance to not only learn directly from the creator, but ask questions live!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
~~~~~~~~~~~
Varia is a new style of collectible card game that pits you against your opponent in combat.
When playing Varia, there are no minions to protect you or creature summons to hide behind. Instead, you raise the shield. You cast the spell. You swing for the win with your weapon of choice. If you want to win a game of Varia, you are going to have to do the fighting yourself.
Each Varia class deck allows players to feel what it's like to actually be that class. While each deck offers its own unique take on combat, Varia is a highly-configurable system that also enables you to build a custom class that best represents you. With Varia, the only limit is your imagination.
Our event will take place at 8pm Eastern | 5pm Pacific on October 8th, and will be broadcast on our Twitch channel. Please also join our Discord server for matchmaking afterwards.
Please pre-register for the Learn & Play to help us plan the event!
