A light strategy game inspired by walking around Penang's George Town

Explore the historic city of George Town, Penang! 'Kaki Lima' is the Malay term for five-foot way - the arched pathways that line the heritage zone of a tropical island in northern Malaysia.

Play as pedestrians navigating their way through a grid of Kaki Lima. Score victory points from reaching places on daily task lists, exploring cultural sites, and meeting up with other pedestrians to taste local delicacies. Walking being at the heart of the game, points are also scored for clearing blocked kaki lima to make a more accessible neighbourhood.

MCO Mode is a solo variant by Evan Cheah where you play one of the pedestrians picking up and delivering food orders to other pedestrians who are home during lockdown (a.k.a. Movement Control Order in Malaysia).

Resource management, trading, bunker building!

In Arkosa, you’ll be developing your bunker, recruiting unique new colonists and trying to keep your population happy, fed, rested and breathing.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
However, the planet won’t make it easy for you. There’ll be regular attacks from the resident hostiles to contend with, plus a whole bunch of unique events that can occur to your intrepid explorers while they are out in the desert. In order to claim victory, you’ll need a well organised, productive, and happy bunker. But only one colony will win the grand prize... a ticket off the planet.

Each player will build and take charge of their own bunker. They will then compete to have the best reputation over the course of 3 rounds. Players will earn reputation points by recruiting new colonists, building new rooms, keeping their colony happy and making successful bribes. The player with the most reputation points at the end of the game will be rescued from planet Arkosa and declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the colony with the highest morale will take the victory.

Cool down at the pool! πŸ₯½

With the temperatures rising it is time to secure a great spot at the pool to cool down.

While reserving sunbeds in real life is not very kind to your fellow guests at a resort it is absolutely mandatory in Pool Towels. Make sure to secure the best spots and dominate the resort to win the game!

[h3]Gameplay[/h3]
Every player starts with their own 8 towels in their hand. The game is played in 8 game rounds:
* each player receives 1 card from the draw pile
* each player places 2 cards face down on the table (on your own area)
* all players turn their cards
* card placement/action in the order of card numbering (lowest to highest number)
* play guest cards in order of card numbering

After 8 game rounds, your hands are empty and the game ends. Time to check who dominates the resort!

Try the River & Stone playing cards by Beth Sobel

Beth Sobel is one of the hardest working illustrators in the tabletop space right now. If her name isn't familiar to you, her artwork certainly is, as she's responsible for the gorgeous Wingspan player mats, multiple box covers (including Calico, Cascadia, & Between Two Cities), and has even worked on IP games such as the Lord of The Rings Card Game.

Beth is now bringing her River And Stone playing cards to Kickstarter later this year, and to give you a taste of what they look like, she's made a version of the traditional game Cribbage that uses her playing cards!

The king is throwing a party! (Free during July)

The king is throwing a party and inviting all the neighbors! The Secrets & Soirees expansion to Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig expands the game up to 8 players with two new room types (activity and secret rooms), a new specialty room type (ballrooms), more bonus cards, and a new throne room.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig is a competitive tile-drafting game in which each tile is a room in a castle. You work together with the player on your left to design one castle, and with the player on your right on another castle. On each turn you select two tiles from your hand, reveal them, then work with your partners to place them. To win, you have to share your attention and your devotion between two castles.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Would you rather party alone? This box also includes an Automa solo mode for the base game and the expansion, as well as optional rules for a new mode of play for 2-8 players in which you build your own castle instead of sharing one with your neighbors.

Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig is published by Stonemaier Games as part of a collaboration with Bezier Games.
