NEW FEATURE: Built-in Video Chat Now In Beta!

We're pleased to announce one of our biggest feature updates yet!

In-game video chat is a feature that is now in beta-testing and available for all Premium users. You can play a game, see each other, and talk all in the same window. If at least one player in your game has a Premium player plan (Silver or Gold), they can enable video chat for the whole group. You can learn how to upgrade your player plan to premium here.

Video chat is available only in the game client via web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, Safari) or Tabletopia Steam application (Windows, MacOS). If this feature is available for you (i.e. you are a Premium player OR another Premium player in your game has enabled it) you will see the following invitation:

Click ‘Apply’ to start the 14-day free trial period. When prompted by your browser, you will need to permit Tabletopia to use your webcam and/or microphone.

Only a person with a Premium player plan can enable the video chat in a game room. This person doesn’t necessarily need to be the game host; the game can be created by any player. However, if a Premium player enables video chat, every other player will get access to the feature for that gaming session.

As video chat demands many resources of your system, we strongly recommend using it in the Steam app rather than in a Web browser. Technical constraints of the browsers may cause significant performance slowdown even with two players. We also recommend playing from desktop computers or powerful gaming laptops. The speed of your Internet connection also plays an important role in the smooth performance of Tabletopia with enabled video chat.

This feature is still in beta, and you may encounter some technical issues. Please report any problems you have with the feature to [email protected].

For a more detailed look at what you can do with video chat, see our help article here.

Compete to build the best ran penitentiary in the county

In Prison Architect: Cardboard County Penitentiary one to four wardens will compete to create the best and most efficient prison the governor could possibly imagine! During the Bidding phase players will simultaneously bid on 4 different categories of room tiles and some staff and policy cards to expand their prison, manage their prisoners need for comfort and hygiene, and to keep them from running away. During the Construction Phase, they will arrange the tiles in their Prison Area paying attention to the individual requirements and scoring conditions each tile pose. During Intake, they will decide how many and how dangerous prisoners to accept, and finally, they will commit themselves to a number of objectives they have to meet by the end of the game...

Will you focus on making the most cash?
Will you keep your prisoners' rehabilitation and release in your mind at all times?
How many Objectives do you dare to commit yourself to?
Are you going to try and have a huge prison with lots of inmates, or just focus on the most dangerous of them and earn your reputation as the architect of a lean supermax?

The choice is yours, Warden!

Influence the fighters of a cyberpunk arena

In the near future, entertainment will have changed. It will have evolved beyond traditional sports in stadiums and into a larger than life spectacle where digital warriors will compete against one another inside the cyberspace arena in bloodless conflict sports.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
This futuristic environment is where Fired Up is set. In the game, the players are not the fighters! They are spectators with premium seats to the largest spectacle of all time. Their premium seats make it possible for them to influence the digital athletes in the Arena and bet on their champions in the fight.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Each round the players roll dice to determine how best to influence the warriors and will secretly bet on specific highlights they would like to see happening, thus having the best time ever! During the course of the game, each player roll their action dice which can be used to influence the fighters. After the action selection phase, the fighters are going to attack each other when the combat phase is going to be resolved.

In the end, the person who had the most fun will win this game of futuristic sport! The game ends when at most one fighter is left in the arena!
