Out Of Time Update 2.0.3

  • [p]Fixed an issue where the Overgrown Village was not displaying the proper loot table.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a controller issue where the LT ability could stop casting during gameplay.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a Steam Deck issue where the Era Rewards / Temporal Pack / Earned Rewards screen could not be dismissed using the A button.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where The Boss spawning would be delayed if large numbers of enemies were present when players completed the required Tangle clears.[/p]
[p]Gameplay Updates[/p]
  • [p]Riverlands now correctly scales for 4-player difficulty instead of defaulting to 3-player scaling.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Solarpunk mini-bosses were all dropping the same ring and trinket rewards. Drops should now vary correctly.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Era reward's could not be ascended.[/p]

[p]Thanks for jumping into Out of Time and for sharing your thoughts, feedback, and wins with us over the past month.
[/p][p]We’ve been reading every comment, compiling feedback, and having internal conversations about what’s possible as we continue improving Out of Time for you, the players.
[/p][p]Our goal has always been transparency. Until now, we didn’t have enough concrete progress to share in a meaningful way. That’s changing, starting with our 2026 Roadmap covering Q1 and Q2.
[/p][p]Going forward, we’ll be sharing updates more frequently so you have a clearer picture of what we’re actively working on, and what may not be feasible right now.
[/p][p]We know our communication hasn’t always reflected that goal. We’re committing to clearer, more consistent updates moving forward.
[/p][p]We truly appreciate the encouragement, the suggestions, and the tough love from the community. It helps validate what’s working and highlights where we need to improve.

Steam Deck Compatibility Update

[p]Out of Time has received a Steam Deck rating of Playable, meaning the game runs end-to-end on the Steam Deck today. However, in order to receive a Verified status, we need to make a few changes:[/p]
  • [p]Virtual Keyboard Behavior[/p]
  • [p]Text legibility[/p]
  • [p]External / Bluetooth Controller Compatibility[/p]
[p]None of these block gameplay, but they do impact the comfort of playing Out of Time on the Deck.

What we’re improving:[/p]
  • [p]Automatically surfacing the Steam Deck virtual keyboard when text input is required.[/p]
  • [p]Improve the size and clarity of text.[/p]
  • [p]Improve the handling of external controllers, including swapping between Deck controls and Bluetooth controllers in the same game session.[/p]
[p]These updates are actively in development, once they are live, we’ll request another review from Valve.

[p]Patch Notes – Matchmaking Improvements & Fixes[/p][p]Gameplay & Matchmaking[/p]
  • [p]Reduced queue times for players in the Tutorial. During the Tutorial, players will now wait a maximum of 60 seconds before being placed into a solo match.[/p]
  • [p]Improved Quick Play matchmaking by attempting to form groups with players in Public Queues much earlier and more frequently, increasing the chances of creating a group faster. [/p]
[p]Bug Fixes[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where leaving a squad while queued could prevent players from starting a new match.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players were not properly disconnected from a run after being kicked or choosing to leave a squad via the ESC menu.
